For me it's easy because first I met him as David Sloan , then as James and then as Cody😀 I feel like it's too hard for him to play Cody because a funny and dumb boy is actually not his nature, I believe in real life he's as serious as David Sloan
James is doing the right thing by going back to Debra Lyn & his son James, Southfork, his father J.R., Uncle Bobby, his brother John Ross & Cousin Christopher. Choosing family & J.R. Learning to appreciate what he always had & has.
He then leaves because JR interferes too much, he wants to plan their life. Something Mitch Cooper had issues with in the early years when married to Lucy.
LOl his movie Class of 1999 II: The Substitute is an even bigger change from Cody, he's way worse in that movie..meaning is acting is so great at being such a villain like character. I thoroughly enjoy it though and he's amazing. I'm happy they have Step By Step on hulu so I get to see him everyday!
For a short time J.R became like jock head of the family children and grandchildren under one room. Although I love J.R. as evil as he is it's nice to see his good side once and a while
Michelle's character had always been a diva/bitch, but I like her in many ways. Not easy for a woman like that to truly open her heart to a man, but I think she really wanted that home and family with James. Had to feel bad for her in this scene even if you didn't like her.
Michelle was manipulative, conniving, and used her looks to get what she wanted. I wish I could feel sorry for her in this scene, but I’m having a hard time.
I really liked Michelle, but James was smart to choose Debra Lynn..They have a son together and she is perfect for him. She isn't money hungry and would love and stay with him poor or rich.

Jame with Debra Lynn & his son James a better family. J.R. A grandfather, John Ross an uncle, the 4 J.R.’s-J.R.Ewings, his son John Ross the 3rd, his oldest son James Richard Senior & his grandson James Richard Junior. This is an episode where I like J.R.
It's SAD the way the show ended. I wish JR could have had something, and someone in the end. But I'm glad Michelle got DUMPED by James, because he was too good of man for a VIPER like for Michelle.
J.R's past started coming back to haunt him and he tried his best to be like his daddy head of his own household with his children and grandchildren all under one roof even though it was short lived.
I love Sasha, this show looks good from the parts I see of him. I feel bad for her as she just walks out of the restaurant, I know how it feels..well to be left by a guy not a husband.
Both James and Shelly are scheming, conniving, money hungry gold diggers. He married her to spite his father, and she married him so she could insinuate herself into the Ewing family. But Shelly could easily sue him and win, because he lied to her about the previous marriage.
LOL! James made the right decesion here, and Debra Lynn loved him unconditionally. Michelle Stevens was just too manipulative, and everything. You brought this on yourself, Michelle. April Stevens was just the better sister at the end of the day. James is definitely a Ewing, no doubt about it.

@@tonyameredith7081 He was falsely ascused of beating up his wife. It later came out that it was her doing the abusing. Apparently the only co worker who believed he was innocent was Suzanne Summers and she the reason he got one episode in the final season.

Because Cynthia Cidre only watched 50 episodes, and only read the recap of another 100. That is why the Dallas reboot wasn't as good. That is why they didn't mention Jenna Wade and Bobby's son that Ray raised.

Actually as Cody he was the one that made step by step a great show plus he was reunited with Patrick Duffy he played his uncle in both Dallas and Step by Step.
Nicole Ackerman yes. At least two. There was on reference in season six where Bronson Pinchot's character tells Pat Duffy's character "look, JR"! He was trying to sucker Pat's character into a trick.😂
I'd hardly call Michelle hot. Debra Lynn was much prettier and nicer. She wasn't an opportunist or blood thirty for money and prestige like Michelle was either. Debra Lynn was also the mother of his child and they wanted to be together as a family.
He's crazy as hell. Michelle certainly had flaws, but over love? A unquantifiable emotion? He needs a woman he can build with, not a liability. Historically women have no problem chosing economics over "love."
Sasha Mitchell ended up on Step By Step and was fired from that. Then Sasha had a few run ins with the law and beat up his wife. Hollywood wrote Sasha Mitchell off a long time ago, he hasn't acted in at least 15 years.
@@laurenmaxwell2857 His name was cleared on the domestic violence charges when it was discovered / revealed that it was actually his wife who was doing the abusing. Sasha was grantef full custody of all 4 of their children by the late 90s.
