Fleming bowled superbly in the 2nd innings but the real credit for Aussie victory in this match goes to Ponting and Gilchrist for their superb partnership after India had them 70 odd for 4 in the first morning.

Injuries were the enemy with Flem: Anyone who recalls this era sadly conceded why he had less of a career than he should have. People joke about it, but Warney wanted him to have the hat-trick more than any other teammate; even on a lucky day, Flem could be unlucky. VVS was fantastic and he looked amateur; to anyone who likes to compare current players to classic ones: VVS was the modern incarnation of several classic techniques and ask how Kohli, Root, Gayle, Smith, Marnus and sundry would have stacked up.
