Exactly. I mean, it took me awhile to jump on board with Bonenzo, but after the two actors made it seem flawlessly beautiful, and because Enzo was the only one to ever put her first, I accepted it, even though at first it was creepy to think about because of the Stockholm syndrome aspect. But then I remembered Delena....enough said on that. But no....Julie fucking Plec couldn't even let her have that. She needed to use Bonnie as a tool to save and bring together her faves. In other words, we traded in her happiness and gave her powers back because we were too lazy to find a different way, then usual, to save all the cast members she actually gave a fuck about. Julie masked her racism with phony smiles and bullshit double talk whenever they were at cons and fans would ask about Bonnie's character. She hated Kat, but Kat had to stay quiet, always act grateful to Julie and never speak up for herself, just like her character, for fear of losing her job. Julie practically condoned the racist rants thrown at Kat. Didn't blame her and Ian for giving their notice for 8 as their last season if they got picked up for 9. You could tell Kat didn't care for her during the final speech Julie gave to everyone at the final wrap they recorded for the final goodbye video extras. While she was talking Kat was looking at her like, whatever, fake bitch! Lol

Ikr....and I can't be the only one who saw the chemistry between Bonnie and damon from season 1...I mean look at them, they only got few scenes in s5 and 11 million ppl voted for them, much more than delena...I can never understand that how Julie didn't give a shot at bamon but gave us that horrible steroline shit which even ruined the friendship between stefan and Caroline. What Bonnie and damon had, it was much more than friendship, it was kind of relationship which could've been explored to the romantic angle..ugh..I just hate Julie Plec

something that always gets to me is that when Virginia refers to Damon as Bonnie' s boyfriend & she goes to correct her, she realises that she doesn't even know herself what their relationship was, otherwise she would have just said he was a close/my best friend. So there were clearly SOME romantic undertones. Even in 7x18 and 7x19 the Bamenzo triangle just seems so meaningful for two people who are strictly platonic. For someone watching the episodes out of context, it would seem as if Bonnie and Damon had a thing but he did something that caused a painful breakup and now Enzos her current boo but Damon's come back into the picture and there's still lingering feelings. (in fact that's what my cousin thought when she watched it with me). But I'm pretty sure all this was Julie toying with the emotions of Bamon fans even though she knew she'd never stop kissing up to Delena(s) and put her anti Bamon/Bonnie agenda aside long enough to go through with what had potential to be an incredible love story. Besides, the ship already had the support of the millions of fans (mtv ship award Bamon -11m votes), the actors (Kat and Ian our Bamon king and queen. No one fought harder for Bamon than them) and the story pretty much wrote itself. *deep exhale* ok rant over

I remember reading Kat and Ian saying how unrealistic it is for anyone to think that Bonnie & Damon wouldn’t have gotten intimate when they were in the prison world together for months. I also found it sooo annoying when Damon tells Bonnie he loves her when she’s trying to kill him, they just had to throw in the line “the same way Elena loved you” 🙄🙄 It’s so clear their feelings were so deep. They definitely could have explored their relationship instead of the crap they gave us for season 7 and 8, but Delena fandom was too strong 🤷🏽‍♀️

@@valerie1211 when I first started reading that I thought you were gonna say Kat and Ian thought it was unrealistic that they would've gotten together and I was like sh*t I need to fact check 😂 but yeah I totally agree. It's just because JP was bowing down to Delena's. OMG YES THE "like Elena loved you" LINE PISSED ME OFF SO MUCH. LIKE IT'S OBVIOUS THEY KNEW THAT IF THEY DIDN'T ADD IT THEN IT WOULD SEEM SO ROMANTIC. But it also felt like they were trying to downplay their relationship because it feels like they were trying to make it seem as if that's all she is to him (Elena's best friend) and they've gotten wayyy past that stage

@@valerie1211 It’s funny I watched the scene where he tells her he loves her like Elena did last night and it read differently for me on this watch. I think the conversation by the stump was sparked by the conversation they had on the phone right after Bonnie wakes up. Damon tells her a bunch of stuff he knows she has an insecurity about to get her to wake up. She wakes up and says she could tell a small part of him meant it. He fights her twice on this and says it was to get her to wake up. She refuses to believe that and says the only reason he’s saved her before is because he’s afraid Elena won’t forgive him. So Damon takes her to the stump, where they all mourned her and fought to bring her back because they missed her and because she was a survivor. He was doing his best to show her he didn’t mean what he said on the porch. They fight and he tells her he still cares about her. I think at this point he kinda gets that Bonnie was so affected by his choice to desiccate because she thought he really felt the way he said on the porch earlier. So he’s trying to show her how he really feels. Since she can sense how he feels, he lays it all out on the line and tells her how much she means to him and asks for her forgiveness for betraying her. He says “I love you, the same way Elena loved you”. To me, because he’s trying to undo what was said earlier, he’s telling her Elena is not the only reason he saved her all those times. If you’re going by the logic that he only saved her because Elena would be upset because Elena loved her so much that she would be devastated to loose her, then by saying “I love you like that” is telling her he saved her because he loved her and couldn’t loose her.

In truth, he ran away to his coffin because he didn't want to admit the fact that he was in love with her. He was afraid of disappointing Elena by choosing Bonnie. So, like a coward, he decided to avoid temptation and wait for her to die, so then she won't be a choice for him, and he can be with Elena. Guilt free. He knew if he physically said goodbye to Bonnie that he probably wouldn't have been able to leave. She was right to take it to his face and show the pain he caused her, so he'll never forget it. He deserved to feel like real shit about it. Enzo may not have been the one she should have ended up in love with, but he put her first and on a pedestal like she deserved....from Damon. Julie Plec stuck it to Bonnie fans with two middle fingers when she then took him away from her, gave her powers back just to be in servitude of saving her faves, and not giving Bonnie at least a possible future circle back between her and Jeremy. Hell. Stefan was barely gone and she had Klaus sniffing on Caroline's heels soon after. ....the fuck?!

This is WHY I QUESTION AS TO WHY DELENA WAS END GAME? Don't get me wrong Enzo and Bonnie were an amazing pair. They're chemistry was amazing. But there is no better Chemistry than BAMON YO! Stefan and Elena weren't even this good, they got irritating, and I'm proud of Stefan, and got tired of Elena. Bonnie storyline was the only storyline on the show that made me SO MAD. She didn't get happiness with Jer, or that warlock, or ENZO. And definitely not Damon in the end. It's so angering. She deserved it so much, but in the end she didn't get it. UGHHH

When Elena's suspicions about Stefan were going through the roof in "You're Undead To Me" (1x05) an elderly man that recognized Stefan told Elena he remember meeting Stefan & Damon in 1953. According to S5 Damon was supposed to have been locked up at Whitmore with Enzo so how the hell could Damon be locked up and be in Mystic Falls at the same time? When Stefan was visiting Mystic Falls in June 1953 Damon followed him there and killed their uncle Joseph Salvatore. Elena lied and said she had a school project and had Logan Fell take her to the news station. She researched the attack and found out Stefan wasn't human. Julie Plec has always had a problem with consistency. That's why "The CW" is the only network willing to keep her sorry ass employed.

I just really hope like in 30 years someone picks up the books and actually adapt them faithfully, and not into a Delena fanfiction, cause even tho we had a sense of the special bond between Bonnie and Damon , due to the efforts of some writers and the actors to remain truefull to their actual connection, Plegue the showrunner , just could not let her biased Delena fantasies go away ! Bamon and Stelena are litteral soulmates and the Diaries are Stefan’s , so if you want to call a show the Vampire Diaries at lest remain truefull to the soul of it ! No to discredit Julie’s talent , she invented some great caracters and storylines , but the core of why she wanted to adapt the books in the first place it to write it into a Delena fanfiction, period !

This was so beautiful. Every time I watch a Bamon video I'm reminded of how amazing they were together and then I feel pissed and disappointed that Julie Plec and co., literally threw every assbackwards pairing on the screen except Bamon (which just boggles my mind). Their story practically wrote itself.

I still am amazed at how 2 series that are about vampires made me cry the most in all history, I felt every death, every bit of pain they went through like it was my own. It was not just a show about vampires it was about all that matters, family, relationships and how complicated they can be, and what really matters at the end of the day. The Vampire diaries and The Originals made me cry like a baby.

WOW GREAT VIDEO! like hands down wow! BAMON should be together. That is a real travel to a fantastic relationship into love. That Delena thing is so kiddie like compared to this and Bonnie didn't go between brothers so. Caroline went from Damon to Stefan and fans are ok with it so why not Bonnie and Damon. Put Matt and Elena together man! Damon and Bonnie grew where as to Elena and Damon seemed like a one up my brother Stefan with the Katherine look a like which caused them to loose that bond and love as brothers to begin with. I think some fans got caught up in Delena with silly love scenes and neglected how the brothers were torn apart and how the cast of characters on the show couldn't really unite unless lines were added about all because of Elena which made no sense to me at all. Enzo and Bonnie seemed forced and fake to keep Damon pure for Elena with fake love. The sacrifices Bamon made for each other over threw that high school Delena thing. After Elena was asleep the cast showed that humans, vampires, whatever can push as a family even with the show being turned into The Elena Diaries.

I wanted Bamon to happen because the chemistry and protection, growth, love and respect was insane between these two. It took me a minute to be good with Bonenzo, but he put her first, which no one else did. He loved her without shame. Damon knew he fucked up when he saw her happy with Enzo, himself. All because he was too afraid to let down Elena and let her go. I would have loved if he did. Caroline fell for Alaric, and Stefan just found someone else, altogether. Maybe him and the heretic chick that was gonna have his kid. I didn't like how Elena and Caroline were always taken care of in the nonstop man flow, but Bonnie got shitted on constantly. I wanted them to come up short. Both of them got a Salvatore brother, and soon after Caroline had Klaus sniffing after her, once Stefan died. Made me pissed.

Some people get reality and fiction mixed up. Delena fans only see Ian and Nina, of course, they will want them together. I didn't even know that they were even a couple in real life. Remember when Kai took Elena to the high school? The scene when Damon and Elena were on the floor talking? That scene was off, the chemistry was off like it was forced and that's when I found out that they broke up. After that, it was never the same. All they see is Ian and Nina, not Elena and Damon. Damon should've been with someone who doesn't have Katherine's face who hasn't been in a relationship with Stefan. He needed someone for him only. Rose and Bonnie were good for him. When Elena erased her memories of Damon, that relationship should've ended period, especially when he found out and shoud've stayed that way. You should never erase your memories of someone that you love when they die.

@@ShortymayShortymay true..Damon deserved to be with someone who has never loved his brother before, since he always used to complain that every girl chooses stefan, he should've ended up with someone who hasn't loved his brother before. For me , the chemistry between Bonnie and damon was ridiculously intense and strong. They had a perfect character development too, plus it would've done justice to Bonnie's character, since she was always neglected by everyone. Giving her a epic love would've completed her story.

I’m sorry but in my eyes he’s never cared about anyone like this other than uhlena it’s not platonic he’s not like this with any of his other friends; it’s like the same passion he had for uhlena especially when she was in danger of dying and I loved it, but of course plec being an avid dullena fan was too biased to explore it. It was very confusing if I didn’t know the context of the show and I saw their scenes I would think they were heading for a relationship; and it seemed like a love triangle with her enzo and bonnie;

Y no, no deberían acabar en una relación amorosa como he leído en muchos comentarios, lo estropearía todo, ellos tenían que ser mejores amigos. I feel like they made a good call not putting them together because they needed to show that some friend ships are strong and that 2 different worlds can come together and have a strong bond without dating. Not everyone that has strong bonds and that becomes close needs to have a romantic relationship

The Bonnie x Damon romance would've been satisfying because it would've been a reward not just for the characters but for the audience who watched the slow burn over the years. Nothing forced or out of left field, it would have been an organic transition. It really looked like becoming a couple would've taken away a lot of unnecessary stress off their shoulders. I don't understand the demand for platonic relationships between people who have a heck of romantic tension and already have several platonic friends. Clearly that's not what they need to be happier!

It would have been a beautiful love story, their chemistry is so clear, that the directors couldn't hide it. They did however keep friend zoning Bonnie. Observe how many times Damon says or even Bonnie has to say that they're "best friends" or friends.

I always wanted Bonnie to be outright with Damon about how she felt. Like in the scene where he says “what did you expect I was just going to let you die” her say something about “isn’t that what you were waiting on” or something to that effect. It’s clear she’s so hurt because in her mind her best friend, who she thought had her back, would rather her just die off so he can be reunited with Elena. When in reality he was doing it to protect Bonnie. He says some harsh things to Bonnie when she’s fighting being the huntress to get her angry enough to wake up. And he hit the nail on the head with what she’s afraid of or hurt with so it seems like he knows but they just danced around it. It would have been nice to see his reaction to it and have him tell her it wasn’t that.
