you should watch the vampire diaries first and then the originals since the original family (Klaus, Elijah etc.) appear for the first time in S2 of the vampire diaries.

I'll explain! You must start with the vampire diaries coz that show is the base of The originals. The originals actually continues from after the end of S3 of the vampire diaries. All the originals r introduced in the first 3 seasons of TVD so watching the originals only makes sense if you've watched TVD from the beginning.

You should start with the vampire diaries because it gives you the information that you need with like lore and the information with original family like (klaus, Elijah) that you see in tvd i personally think if you start with the spin off (the originals) you'll most Likely get confused and wont get the full picture.

Too bad you can't watch TVD first...many characters carry over. Damon & Klaus are 2 of the greatest characters EVER! I watch both of these series over and over again that's how good they are.... and I am at least 2 decades older than you 😀 I'm sure I'm not even close to the average age of the TVD/Originals audience. 😊

U gotta react to Stefan the ripper and u have to watch the vampire diaries first the originals appear in that show first then they get their own show which is a spin off of the vampire diaries and Stefan and Damon got turned the same time Stefan made him do it because he didn't want to be alone loving the vids also

It’s better to watch vampire diaries first and then the originals coz the build up for kalus for the original family there interaction wit tvd how u fall in love wit them its everything I now its a lot of seasons but it’s worth it once u started it’s addictive u will be half season in no time
