Yes, it instantly teleported him and Robin back to 1993! The year the movie debuted! Though, Howard was still stuck in the presence, because he went on to ask Dan the next question, unfazed… lol. 😄
Beldar is the perfect guest for this show. His clear, staccato delivery cuts through with every word, no matter how many people are talking over him! I'm not actually joking. It's perfect.
I can totally see John Belushi walking into that hotel calling out, "Hey anybody see a ghost?!" Or the camera zooming in on him as he yells because "Slimer" is about to get him! He would have been perfect for that role.
Eddie Murphy would have been great in Ghostbusters, but Ernie Hudson is absolutely awesome. He also sort of grounds the movie much better, whereas Eddie’s presence would have made the film probably a bit too silly.
Murphys role wasnt going to be similar to winston. Murphys role had more lines, originally. Thats why hudson took the role. He thought itd be a breakout performance but while filming some of his best lines were taken by aykroyd and murray.
That’s exactly the part he was going to play. However, I heard that he couldn’t change the script to his liking and that’s why he moved on to Beverly Hills cop.
I think Eddie Murphy was going to be a smarter character that does everything better, but joins the duo later as a newbie in place of both Egon and Winston. Please correct me if I'm incorrect
@andrewft31 OK, I thought Eddie was supposed to be Egon, then they had trouble finding someone else that could do the part correctly, then Harald Ramis did it himself because he knew how the character was supposed to be. Forget where I read that, but oh well
Good interviewer: "Here's somethin interesting I've heard that most people know, is it true?" Interviewee: "Why yes it is..." Good interviewer: shuts the hell up so guest might or even can tell an interesting story related to it, or at least flesh out some details.
WOW--reveal after reveal! Did not know Belushi was married; did not know that Eddie and John were initially asked to be on the OG 'Ghostbusters' team; did not know that Storch and Tucker had a 'Ghostbusters' TV show (from the clip, the FX were worse than the animated Scooby Doo ensemble! Scary stuff, kids)! Aykroyd an alien life form: CONFIRMED. 🙂🙂
While it is sad - Belushi would have been an amazing Ghostbuster, we got Slimer. Dan created Slimer to honor his fallen Blues Brother. Dan would always tell people that Slimer is the ghost of John Belushi.
Eddie Murphy in Ghostbusters are the only few times I can think of a movie still becoming a classic if it was done by another actor, but Eddie Murphy had quite the energy at that time while Bill Murray were more cozy, so it was probably for the better that Eddie did Beverly Hill.
Naughty sketch, but totally funny. Don't forget that Dan had her voice down perfectly. Always committed to those sketches, back when SNL was the best comedy show on TV....four decades ago! Time flies, youngsters....
They didn’t have phones in NYC, in 1983 for Akroid to call John Belushi’s wife? 2:13 & how did Aykroyd find out? Before Belushi’s wife found out, yet not before the newspapers already found out and printed it. (that usually happens the night before . 155th “Avenue”? (I thought they all lived in Cali? (after their SNL days)
Nobody told him you can't write a supernatural sci-fi ghost-story love-story horror-story thriller action comedy...because it doesn't have a cowboy in it.
Eddie was great in the 80's, just hit after hit... but he would of taken the movie in a whole different direction that I probably wouldn't care for... besides we got Beverly hills cop instead

@@r0bw00d fair, but how would they have known the number if he didn't have it written down and on him? Are we to assume the hospital staff didn't think of the yellow pages? Do you really think John Belushi was listed?
@@dave210yt Jesus, you really know nothing about hospitals, do you? I envy your ignorance. Hospitals keep a list of contacts for all of their patients.
Yes. It was a different time. No internet. No cell phones. No cable news (CNN had only started a year before and wasn't widely seen). Only the nightly TV news and radio. News traveled slower and the paper often was the most up to the minute reporting.
ok HEART OF THE GHOSTBUSTERS...I reccomend IGNORING aliens and yes they are very real but id suggest focusing on that neat vodka poison stuff people drink for whatever reason amen
His industry is trying to find a way to blackmail me. They have failed and they are caught trying. This started in 1986. 6 not 8. Tell me about who’s been handling Kathy Miller for the last 34 years?
