I’ve listened to every TYSO episode and for some reason this just hit me in the feels. Obviously have heard of Dan but never heard his stand up or any other content. Taking exogenous melatonin doesn’t help with sleep, it actually makes your body produce less of it. Get morning sunlight in your eyes without glasses on, that’s how and when your body produces its own melatonin to get to sleep. Also try not to smoke or eat close to bedtime, weed and digestion keep you from getting as much deep sleep. And wear blue light blockers if you’re in front of screens in the evening! Great ep!

You need to read Breath by James Nestor… interesting stuff about sleep apnea and perhaps a lot of over diagnosing that goes on… But sleeping better is a game changer regardless.

46:22 I'm not joking, sometimes the super specific things you talk about I can relate to to a remarkable degree. I usually only eat one huge dinner and snack until I can't stay up anymore because my sleeping pills are making it impossible. (I think my internal clock runs on about a 32-hour day rather than 24...) I've eaten _strictly_ only restaurant-delivered food for the last 3 years with zero cooking, aside from the occasional home-cooked meal, and I avoid the grocery store receipt to buy fruits and vegetables here and there to have as snacks in the refrigerator. Yet, somehow by doing this, I've lost about 30 lbs working from home. I order my meals about 3-4 days at a time, though. Not twice a day. I have several restaurants with multiple entrees that I enjoy and taste great as reheated leftovers. So I don't get into extra food and I also have a sweet tooth, I found you can order boxes of king-size candy bars on Amazon, shipped with ice packs. Try having a few Reese's Big Cups before bed and you might start waking up with a familiar sensation again every day or two instead of every week or two. 😅

Jesus christ, how the hell did I sleep on Rick Glassman this long?! The 1st episode of this podcast I watched was Bill Burr's and I've been watching non-stop since. And Dan Soder never disappoints. He's been one of my favorites forever.

Dan is such a great comic and seems to be such a great guy. He really gets me laughing, thankful he's doing his thing out there and stuff like that

Soder always kills on podcasts. Rick, try eating some sauerkraut. I had stomach issues for years and eating sauerkraut fixed it.

I’m gonna go ahead and request again Joe List.. at this point he is the only one of my New York favorites missing. I can’t predict the end result as Joe is a neurotic, anxious mess but my god he is hilarious.

Is Dan Soder the most underrated comic since Patrice? He s the funniest podcast guest, yet he doesn't have his own podcast. He has great stand up, yet he isnt as famous as Schoulz or Gillis or Normand. I think he s easily a top 5 comic right now.

I related so much to almost every story they talked about, like Rick's food obsession I am the exact same and also about Dan's dad because my dad also passed away from hep c due to cirrhosis of the liver from drinking too much when I was 7. The entire episode was incredible but the ending was hilarious to me I couldn't breathe because of how hard I was laughing 🤣🙏♥️

Can't wait to watch this, thanks Ricky!! *Jesus I was crying laughing during that feaux late night razzmatazz you two are fucking great together comedically🙏🙏🙏 **shoutout to he-who-shall-not-be-named in the ad reads, those were hilarious as always ***obviously commenting as I watch but as someone with a relatively severe case of Crohn's disease that I've been carrying around since 06 (arms tired etc etc), trust me on this: pick up a cheap double pack of enemas at your local walgreens for when you have severe constipation. It feels weird and uncomfortable when you're using it, but the relief is unmatched. I've got the typical Crohn's where it's the opposite of constipation, however there have been some hellish ups and downs where constipation has been a major problem at times. Hope that helps fellas I love ya ****CAN'T WAIT FOR THE IAN FIDANCE EPISODE BTW

I've watched the commercial for the carpet store- at least 100 times at this point. i JUST now noticed that Rick's wearing sweatpants in that ad and not gray slacks. Kinda feels like that psych 101 video where the guy in the gorilla suit walks through the group of people bouncing basketballs.
