I've never seen a Dana interview I've heard some of his mistakes but man there is a reason the ufc is so good and its because he knows how to run the fight game.
This is actually the best I've seen Dana White. I think this is prime Dana White. He's one of the most unique characters ever. Just a "don't fuck around with me" attitude is so unique as well.

Worth mentioning though, Bob cries about having to find money to pay boxers because, for example, Crawford earned more for his fight with Brook than every fighter in UFC 251 COMBINED. Dana isn't sweating the half-$million for top of bill because his entire night payroll is only about $3.5M. Crawford alone exceeds that. Dana paying peanuts.

I just recently got into UFC, I’ve been a boxing fan for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately Boxing has changed. Some say it’s gotten dirty but the fact the best don’t fight the best anymore is a huge disappointment. Boxing needs a Dana White, he keeps it real and doesn’t let the politics get involved when it comes to the fight game. Would be bad ass if Dana got involved in boxing!!!
UFC has some flaws too. Like the best don't always fight the best, but I don't think they try to hide it as much as boxing. Like McGregor is ranked #4, but there's still a real possibility that he'll face Dustin Poirier for a title match. I know Dana is denying it, but it'd still make sense for entertainment and sales. Khabib himself said he vacated (even though he didn't actually quit), so they'd be in their right to make the next fight for the belt. And if McGregor wins, then they get to have another champion vs "true" champion fight (McGregor vs Khabib).

@@steez5769 I don’t think you get the hours that Dana works. Theres a story from when Chael Sonnen was on the podcast where Dana called him from the office at 4am. When Chael asked whats going on and why he’s calling at that time Dana just apologised and said he thought it was one 2am and that he’d call him back tomorrow. When your concept of reasonable working hours is still being in the office at that time midweek, your schedules not exactly gonna be easily open for a 3 hour podcast
Jones vacated to go Heavyweight. Jan also said he's open to fighting in March and March is when the Ultimate Fighter starts. The only way Izzy and Jones could be on the Ultimate Fighter together is if they pushed back the start of Ultimate Fighter and if Izzy wins the LHW title, then Jones comes back down to LHW to fight Izzy for it. Too many pieces for that to happen.

I have great respect for the fighters. Especially as I look out over the professional sports world and see how they act compared to the people in MMA. I only watch MMA events and truly respect all of these people for their hard work and respect they show each other.
