Ok dancer struggles for me: - cramping (mostly feet lol) - a day when you just can’t balance - feeling tight for some reason - people who think I can do backflips because ballet and gymnastics are tHe sAmE tHiNg - extra applause when I do a something easy but not when I do something that I have been working on for months Hope this helps!! Some dancers can do tumbling. There’s a style of dance called “acro” where you do tumbling and contortion. Acro is also a sub genre of dance styles like jazz, lyrical, and contemporary. Like acro lyrical, acro contemporary, and acro jazz
Everytime before I go for class: "I hate ballet, i give up, I CAN NEVER GET MY DOUBLE PIROUETTE RIGHT" After ballet: LOVED IT. CAN'T WAIT TO GO HOME AND PRACTICE At home: nah I'll just stretch another day (Is this just me?)
I taught my really athletic friend to do turns and she came to school the next day in her vans and basketball kit almost falling over as she tried! LOL
One of my annoying book buddies in 3rd grade said I can do a cart wheel can you and another time she said CaN YoU Do a SpLiT I Can I said yes and she was like show me and I was like yes and she was like ShOW mE we were on concrete
Honestly I don't mind when people say dance isn't a sport cause I don't consider it one either I consider it an athletic ART (I low-key hate sports 😂😅)
I sooo relate with this!!!! Especially when my friends are like: skip dance, it’s not that big of a deal Yeah it is!!! I don’t know if it’s a struggle But when you finally do the exercise correctly and the teacher wasn’t watching:( I love your videos!
Omg this is so true. I have to skip dance next week because I’ll be across the country from where I live and they’re learning a whole new dance which I’ll have to pick up on
OH MY GOSH I HATE IT WHEN YOU FINALLY DO SOMETHING CORRECTLY AND THE TEACHER DOESN'T NOTICE! I have this one teacher who I feel like whenever I do something right she isn't looking but when I do something wrong shes staring RIGHT AT ME ready to yell at me for messing up. :')
1. When people say just skip dance you’ll be fine to miss one class 2. When you feel blisters forming and you feel like your actual toe nails are abt to FALL OFF in pointe

Okay, my struggle is that some days I can do a triple pirouette on pointe, and my fouettes are perfect, and the next day I can't do a double on flat for the life of me🤣
Çiğdem Ve Rüya Gülenyüz you just have to get your skill up the longer you do it, the better you are, and your technique gets you in pointe faster flats and stuff isn’t for babies a lot of dancers I know still wear flats I haven’t for years but I know people who do. It takes time you will get it 😁

I love to show off my flexibility in gym every one when we do those one leg in one leg out I have both hands on my foot with my leg on my knees while everyone else except for some of my friends are like...... ARGGHGFFHJVFDDGHFFFHDJDHDUISWJHDGDVDVFV
I hate when I tell people I dance and they say something like: Them: "Oh I dance too!" Me: "Oh really?" Them: "Yeah it isn't that hard" Me: "... Okay? What all do you know?" Them: "I actually know a lot" Them: Hits the Woah, flosses, (just any trendy dance) Me: "... this is going to ruin dance for me"
Oh my gosh!!! When people say that it isn’t a sport or that it is easy!!!!! I just want to sit them down and explain why it is a sport and most of all that it is really hard and if someone says that if they just started they think the would be great! Again I would explain why it is so hard and when people start it is no easy!! Those three things just make me trigged ( AND NOT IN A GOOD WAY ) So the point is that dance in a sport, it is really hard and if you start it won’t be easy!!
Me after dancing everyday! And yes then again in the morning it hurts even more! Oh wait don’t get me started on the price of Dancewear! If you want to do dancing you have to miss a lot but trust me DANCE IS THE BEST! And it is very expensive to do it so skipping it won’t work for me 🤣💖💖💖
Haha 😂 I remember when I was a dancer when you're exhausted at the end of the class and the teacher is like : "well that was good class but now we're going to rehearse the part for the recital so you're gonna stay here an other hour " I hated this especially when they said that after a 3 hours class and you were at school the all the day so you end up staying at the studio so late at night 😒 Another thing now every time I use hair spray I'm like : "That smell like dance recital " 😄Ha the memories!
When you have a dancer friend at a different studio so u have to rlly awkwardly ask her what grade she is so that you can compare urself to her to see if all your emotional and physical investment was all for nothing or not... Love when that happens
And that’s on having to go straight from school to ballet and then staying until 8 and not finishing hw till midnight and not having time for dinner 😭✌️

the embarrassing thing for me in dance class is that the teacher is talking to me when i don't know it and she keeps on telling me but i keep vibing to the song while doing the workout wrong and everybody looking at meh

I really felt all of these! I think ballet is even harder if you like it cause you always want to improve and you get so frustrated when it doesn't work the way you want it. It brings me so much anxiety like omg 😖😖

SOOOOO TRUE! You're too relatable! I do Jazz, and people just do not understand how hard it is! I hate it when people say it's not a sport, dance is so easy, just skip dance today you don't miss that much! But the truth is, if you miss 1 day of dance, that means you have SO much to catch up on. ( coreography, routines, and more ) Also when people say i've never done dance before, but I know I would be really good at it right away. Me: If you spend 6 years of practicing you will! Dance takes tiimmmeee to learn! Especially for it to get no appreciation. 😔
This is probably just me. But when I am practicing and no one is watching. I can execute a routine perfectly. But as soon as a teacher or another dancer watches me I just mess up so badly. It is so annoying!

Hi this is really funny so I’m a dancer and these people we knew came over to our house and said there granddaughter dances. And they said she was 15. I thought it could have been you because they are from Maryland. It wasn’t but it was funny I thought it was you 😂

I'm a gymnast but I relate to all of this, and for the ballet part, we usually take some ballet classes so we can be more graceful when we dance on floor and when we do beam choreography.
This is so relatable from the debut to the end 😭😂 Especially when people tell you “ballet is not a sport”.... it is!!! I can start a class with a dry leotard and dry face and fell sweat on me 30 minutes after Rehearsals are the worst like you know the movement “perfectly” but you repeat that same movement 15 times until your teacher says “that’s it keep pushing !” but your feet are dead your arms and your legs are sore and your mind is totally upset with it 😭😭
