The reporter was so unprepared. She obviously did not watch the documentary because she was asking very dumb questions that would have been answered if she known what she was talking about. She also kept interrupting him, and it felt like she was just using him to get information about Miranda. She had no interest in his story. What a waste of time.

Given how utterly avoidant and antagonistic this cult-leader is (like all of them) it's important to recognise the bravery of those who spoke out. At the time they did, there was no documentary, no attention on this group, and the leader had been threatening and intimidating everyone who spoke out (including families, experts, critics, journalists and researchers). This lady has to be one of the worst interviewers. So uncomfortable to watch and listen to. If you’re going to cut him when he’s trying to answer your question why bother to ask at all??? This lady also wished the best for the woman’s family and not the man she was interviewing.

If you are short on time then don’t have guest on. It’s infuriating when the host is constantly interrupting guest to ask more questions and interrupt again while they’re answering your questions. Why even bother having guest?

You ask him a question then you talk over him never letting him finish. You know he’s been in this group so don’t you think he wasn’t listened to? You owe him an apology. If ever anyone else chooses to do an interview with you, don’t talk over the person when you ask a question

WORST interviewer ever She loves the sound of her own voice

Back in the late 90s, the international Church of Christ from LA was very similar. I joined and they required us to have roommates If we were single, They had to see our tax return so they knew how much we would tie, We had to create a sin list and they would use it against us, You were assigned a discipline who disciplined you if you stepped out of line and didn’t follow the rules of the church or scriptures, And you were supposed to go out on dates if you were on the weekends, Which was hard to do if you were a heavyset girl all the pretty girls and the skinny ones got dates and the heavy girls got picked on. You looked down if you were single mom And went to church three times a week with a requirement that once a week you were supposed to go out and invite people to church… Such as going to the coffee shop and sitting down with random people, you don’t know and talking about the church to get them to come. If you didn’t, then you got in trouble. I wonder if any of the people that are part of this group for 7M came from that church. They are still around.

Lady, stop cutting him off. Toward the end, Aubrey was able to read her and he kept his answers short but she still interrupted. If you’re on a time limit, you need to be more prepared with better questions in the future.

Either way, no harm is being done if the people agree to terms or disagree, as the case may be. However this plays out, everyone in the dance team has my continued support. ❤

I'm a bit skeptical about the cult accusations. This is not the first dancer I hear say that they started re-thinking involvement with 7M because of negative coverage. Like if they didnt want to associate with that kind of light. And, not like they felt they were being totally controlled.

This was a terrible interview. WTF? I know I have learned to pause to when asking questions to a person I'm interviewing and not be disruptive, especially when the person makes a point, and you want to interject but where was his experience? What did he go through? How exactly was he recruited? What was told to him? Perhaps I should interview him. SMH.

3:39 Aubrey is right. There is no other way for Miranda's family to be there with her. They have to play by her rules or else risk not seeing their daughter ever again. So they may appear in TikToks laughing and dancing, but in reality, she's totally brainwashed, and they know she's being controlled. They're treading a fine line and genuinely don't want to lose their daughter again. Maybe it's better for them to have some contact than no contact. There is one part in episode 3 where the mom says she wants to have it so that they wouldn't ever bring up the subject of Robert/Shekinah when Miranda is there. Melanie responds, isn't this what we've been doing all along?
