Side Effects is one of my fave SKZ songs, & I’m a STAY who knows & loves every song they’ve ever put out. If you study the lyrics it’s clear that they want the listener to feel disoriented & out of sorts with the rhythm switches & out of sync patterns, because it matches the mental & emotional state being described in the song. Their willingness to write about much deeper topics than is typical of Kpop is one of many reasons they’re my fave boy group

So glad you reacted to stray kids! Especially this song since it doesn’t get as much love as others. A subunit of the group called 3racha actually write and produce all of their music. So on top of the hours of work they put into their performance, they also create the music they preform. All of that and they are only in their 20s. Hope you do more like easy, double knot, gods menu...actually I could just keep going. All their music is worth a listen.

If you want to learn more about them as individuals, I’d suggest checking out some guides! Two good ones are hyunjin nations 2021 guide and skz vintages 2021 guide. The hyunjin nation one goes more in depth with personalities while the skz vintage one focuses more on the music aspects of each member. It's not just stray kids but all kpop groups and idols are very talented. They take their skills seriously and love their fans. Each song is unique and different they are not the same.they love to experiment different genres.not only in music but in dance. They are true performers. Side effect is one of my favorite skz songs! If you want a better view of their dancing they have a performance video too that also has some great shots and lighting

Actually their music videos have an order cause they tell a story that starts from their pre-debut until now and the two moons are part of that story (long story short look for "skz highlight reel" where the leader makes a summary of the story before they enter to the new era that starts on God's menu) P.s: sorry if there's something bad written I'm just learning english and thank u for your reaction I love it❤

What I personally get from the MV and lyrics, they were leaving the city entering maze (yellow wood) feeling the side effects I think in my opinion they’re talking about the side effects of being kpop artist *Faded voice in the background names the side effects but it’s hard to hear it over the music and also the split scene where they’re shown on the bus sleeping & walking on a dark road. I think thats them dreaming which shows they never got on the bus* ... first they’re in the city in MIROH MV and now it’s a combination concept of Hellevator & District 9. I’m sure i’m not the only one who noticed the bus bus in the opener, I Am You fashion, elevator behind them, city in the sky and the key to the elevator at the end. *SIDE EFFECTS THAT FANS GET: COMPLETE SHOCK & CONFUSION* 😵😶 My biases are Bang Chan, Felix, Changbin, Lee Know and I.N but I love & support the whole group. #SideEffects #StrayKids

Kpop music videos are so much more than American ones. There are some that are ART PIECES they are so gorgeous. BTS’s Blood Sweat and Tears and Fake Love for example, as well as Oneus’s Come Back Home and To Be or Not to be. And the AWARD SHOWS in Asia...the performances that get put on blow American shows out of the water. American content becomes insanely boring when you get used to content in Korea or Japan.
