Snake-eyes fire king is a very powerful deck, but I think it falls into the problem where most of it's interruptions are bad against tear. So even if ishizu tear doesn't draw a way to play on turn 0, there's just no possible way you can stop tear from going off unless you draw a ton of non engine. Like ash the scheiren, hope they don't draw mudora or keldo with a miller, and imperm or veiler the reino. But other than that I just don't see fire king snake-eyes being able to outgrind. Maaaybe if they go second and somehow manage to pull off the otk using salamangreat? That also just seems so unlikely though.
i am really looking forward to when full power tear, minus ishizu, gets out of the banlist. tear is one of the most fun decks in the game, but right now outside of being macrocosmos the deck or similar strategies is it just way to far ahead for decks to keep up with it so the interactive game either are mirrors or tear brick and got unlucky and still is going to win probably
It won't get back to full power again for a long, long, long time. For comparison we're still yet to get every toss format deck back at full power 5 years worth of insane powercreep later and that was considered a "fair" format for the time so imagine how long tear, a recent tier 0 deck that even after what is probably the most bans and limits for a singular deck in history and counting is STILL topping
@@jimtsap04 it would probably be more accurate to say i am looking forward to the time when tear SHOULD be back to full power. i mean drident is still banned because zoo was the tear of pre link even so it would no longer be relevant even with 3 drident 3 barrage
@@esrohm6460 drident was released long ago but banned again once zeus came out making zoo tier 1 out of nowhere but I get your point, just saying you gotta buckle in for a really long ride before the banlist fully eases up on tear ishizu, when it does happen though if the game is still even alive it could be fun cause tear was a really cool deck unfortunately way too ahead of its time so hopefully by then it will be able to coexist at full power with competitors that can actually handle its insanity, maybe if the game head more into the direction of "our turn" decks that can consistently play on turn 0 like tear and currently to a small extent rescue ace and labrynth
@@garychan2404 it was indeed way too powerful for its time and even now even without ishizus but never say never cause powercreep can be insane in this game
yaaaaaaay. I don't think this really talks to the quality of the decks too much - the tear side deck here just had nothing for some of the dumb floodgate stuff and the matches showed that off well enough, and mostly just sort of ended up being a coin toss-y draw the blow out type situation.
prediction is 3-1 tear, both lists suck ass but tear has the better techs for this matchup whereas kash is shifter or lose when going 2nd, maybe 3-2 if kash draws iblee going 1st and shifter going 2nd
@@ulisesmunguia8715 I suspect that he thought that he could summon his own Ib and 2 of their monsters, but unfortunately that is not possible. (tbf I had to google the card to confirm this as well)
