A thousand of bravos for you both! You are a marvelous Solor,Daniil.I would love to see you and Miki in Swan Lake,I think it could be extraordinary. I hope that you will dance Solor again, and again!
Absolutely great!!! Love the Bayadere, also such lovely heart melting music by L.Minkus. Same composer as for. Daniil Is great in Don Quichote, as Basil, with Miki, there are 2 parts. he could be Baryshnikov's brother in that one, in looks, style, the amazing jumps.
Yes, he's flying, it reminds me of the first time I watched he dancing to "La Spectre de la Rose" in Taipei, the first word came to my mind is"wow, he's flying~", so impressive.
He's one of the best techical dancers of his time. Reminds me of Angel Corella. Lacks the muscularity of many dancers, but makes up for it in technique...
One of the few male dancers that makes me want the ballerina to just go away so I can watch him and him alone. He is fantastic - and so young. Astounding that he hasn't even begun to reach his full capabilities.
I give the kid credit for just having the courage to do this ballet.. The head piece makes him look like a bird. Is he thin? Well, what is dancing about? Work! Work! Work! That is the reason for 99% of dancers quitting soon. Now his technique? He has it all. Hopefully his body stays strong and he stays discipline. The latter he needs in order to guide him through this most strange world of dance. It is so short, many times painful and pretty much like life full of short great moments.
Yes, the World of dance Is not an Easy one AND short. I feel so grateful for all the beauty, pleasure, they are giving us, AND yes they are way underpaid.i think mostly because only a minority of people can appreciate this most beautiful art, live, audio and visual. AND it Is Costly for the ballet companies. you Will never have the amount of people like for a rock or whatever pop concert to supply the amount of Money the dancers deserve for all the hard work.
mon cheri, memale2009, I think I understood a little but then again...you cannot deny the fact that the dancing world is not an easy world. Pain and lots of it comes with it. Of all the arts is the most badly paid and the most demanding. If a dancer gets to dance ten or 15 years great again there is much to learn out there so I hope dancers do not limit themselves. many go back to school and become doctors or physical therapist.
@Gaduntas Being too "thin" is generally not viewed as a "problem" in ballet. The only time it might be a liability (for some fans) is when the dance requires a bare upper body.
there's something harsh about the girl's port de bras. but Daniil is brilliant. However, he must be twenty something today and I still find that he looks like a fourteen year old.
@colts32315 Yes I agree, he is extremely talented - and well trained - but they both appear too thin to me. In a video of him taken in 2005 he did not look quite so skinny.
lol apparently not. Seems endemic on teh internets. No wait, not just the internet. That's life. People don't take the time (or never learned how) to really listen and then get mad for no reason (or at least not for something you actually said) until everyone's shouting... hmm, now I'm depressed.
