Damn, not that Dan struggles with strats at all-he sounded great!-but the second Mick picks it up it is just perfection. It is so clear how at home he is there!
I`ve just realised that I'm a lot like Mick ... or worse actually; If I had to think about which button and how many buttons I would have to press just to change an H9 preset my head would go 'Nope ...... ' because I`m not interested enough to learn. That's why I have an Alter Ego - press A and I have one preset, B for a second and C for a third. Simples. .... Yeah, it is big ........... Love Pete's playing and a really interesting show as always. Thanks guys.
Regarding 13:49 and the virtual battery. @Dan, do you have some recommendation where to set that little pot if you wanna power a pedal like it was powered by a carbon battery? All the way to the right? I have specifically the Sunface in mind.
Every time I see Danish Pete playing, I feel like I don't know how to play guitar. One of the most inspiring guitar player with amazing guitar tones in my opinion.
@@RobFlaxMusic - definitely (or at least maybe as part of) say an episode on 'essentials/utility' pedals alongside things like using an EQ well and similar tips. Def interesting to explore using reverse looping, half speed, layering, ect to mix it up too
Whole show on loopers from simple to complex would be so freaking cool. I love the sound Pete gets from a simple Ditto. I couldn’t get that good a sound with his rig and the most advanced looper ever.
I hope this means Pete is potentially touring in some capacity again! While being at andertons is entertaining to us, it would be a true gift to see some live performances. I understand he has family he wants to be with though.
Oh - the coincidence! Just watched the episode on "The Dane" which finished by "I will redo your board Pete, because I love you in a manly way". Hit the frontpage of YT - and here it is! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-faSwnZmlqes.html
@@taylorhicks2753 it is a song from an old musical called The producers... It is a satirical play they put on to try to lose money and one of the songs is Springtime for Hitler
Yes, but it mysteriously faded out when it got the word Hitler, hmmm, strange that 😜 Don't mention the war! I might of once or twice in this post, but I think I got away with it.
@@joerobinson6199 With you 100% Joe, but the film we're referring to was created by Mel Brooks who has German Jewish ancestry and fought against Germany in WW2. It's hard to explain unless you've seen the film (and I hope you do as I think you might enjoy it) but the premise is that a theatre producer makes a show that's in such bad taste and offensive it will bomb and close in the first week (as part of a deeper scam). However, it turns out to be very funny (both for theatre audiences in the film and you as the film viewer) so the plan backfires. I think as human beings, sometimes we find humour from the darkest places but that doesn't mean we don't also understand and abhor the awful things that went on there too. Anyway, that's how I see it.
Cawfee Dawg there’s so much monotony when it comes to putting a pedalboard together, must be pretty grating having to do that for an hour while everyone else is sitting around having fun
YES!!!!!! I typically find him very hard to watch/listen to. I thought it was the cheesy jokes/puns that have a 1 in 10 'hit rate', the incessant talking, or interrupting others....but in this video he is OK.
Danish Pete with " Those Expensive Guitar Chords " - Nice. The Pedalboard is Gorgeous. The Moral of this Video " If you Want to Play-with-Yourself, Internet Porn may not be your Best Option? - just get a Looper Pedal !!! ( hours of fun )
Always know it’s going to be good when Danish Pete walks in the room....or should I say climbs into your bed! LOL! Great episode today! Best Three Stooges out there in RU-vid land. Can’t get enough of these episodes! Until next week, cheers!
Hmm. 2:55 MASSIVE SECRET looks to me like a Hudson electronics broadcast Ariel thingado. If I’m right I think I need to seek counseling for watching too many guitar videos 😪
Man that jam around the 26 minute mark is just amazing. All three of you are amazing players. The number of times I shook my head at a tasty lick is too many to count. Pete is just fantastic man.
The chemistry between you guys and Danish Pete is unlike any other guest you've had on the show. You can feel the mutual respect and friendship.... and it leads to some really funny moments as well! I'd love to see Pete on the show more often, not just because he is a great and knowledgeable player but mainly because of how you three play off each other! haha
At these crazy stadiums.... notice blonde in yellow! Sorry didn’t notice the board, I’ll go back for another look. Yep that’s one crazy stadium...... figure hugging too!
In the Josh Smith video, every time he said "H9" I thought he was saying "8-9", so making the program changes for the H9 on the 8 & 9 buttons makes perfect sense to me...
Whoa, if you gents do an Expensive Chords episode, a sidebar into that jazzy in-between bit Mick did over the looper would be something I'd be keen on watching
Everytime I see one of those builts with Dan I am amazed by what the G2 is able to do... Total overkill for my small bass pedalboard but I think I have to have some of those powersupply modules for my board!
Wow...that Oswald Strat style guitar sounds absolutely amazing (and of course the GR2 and pedals and what not). I'm hoping the Oswald guitar guy has to quit his day job soon cause that guitar's the unsung hero of this episode...sounds fantastic and doesn't get nearly the attention it deserves.
@That Pedal Show I know i'm a little late to post a comment and this isn't really related to the episode, but In the Math / Engineering / Computer Science world zero is the standard starting point when numbering. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zero-based_numbering Love the show!
The note selection Pete uses playing clean, reminds me very much of how Bobby McFerrin selects notes when he’s singing freestyle i.e. lots of soulful jumps between registers. A great episode as always gents. Three years plus of videos and every one of them has something worthwhile to absorb.
Great episode! I’m going to use Pete’s Danishness as a tenuous link to talk about T-rex effects. So glad they haven’t gone bust and excited to see what the future holds for the company now the original owners have bought back the rights. #echorec #RoommateReissue
Morecambe and Wise with pedals. Another great video and my highest compliments to you chaps, you keep me going through the week! Still don't understand m1d1 though.
no idea if yall would see this. but please for the love of all things get joe bonamassa to come do a show with you guys. i'm sure he would. super cool guy. anyway, you gotta do an intro/teaser an episode before you feature him where danish pete does that set the guitar down when it's on loop and just walk away. then the lights fade and come back on and joe b pretending to be a janitor comes in vacuuming, sees the guitar hears the loop, looks around to make sure no one is watching, sits down and SHREDS. then he puts the guitar back down while it's on loop, and vacuums his way out of frame.. then the next episode you do would be an interview. PLEASE although the ultimate would be tommy emmanuel doing it and then shredding on an electric guitar since he doesn't often do that on video.
It would be awesome to have either of those fine gentlemen. I’m lucky enough to have spent time with them both, filmed them both over the years. Open invite to both of them, alas their schedules and higher priorities make it unlikely.
Oh, man, you guys make my day so often. Great fun always, but especially when The Dane is with you. Why is it, though, that Pete's guitar looked pink at first, and by the end I could swear it was baby blue?
I love the bit at the end...Dan's laughter is contagious.. Danish pete is a top notch guest but then again all your guest are to be honest. two thumbs way up guys thank you... 👍👍😎.
When my ship rolls in and I can afford a G2 I'll come back to this video to learn how to use it. In the mean time . . . *zzzzzz snore zzzzz* until the next video.
What.A.Video! Great content on this one and great guest as well! Finally, a pedal show video giving the G2 some proper love, I’ve recently had one added to my board by TheGigRig and having seen Dan run through it, feel like I know a fair bit more already!! A potential question for VCQs; Midi - why? Isn’t it just a fancy way of connecting pedals up rather than standard patch cable or TRS? Or am I missing the point (Probably quite likely)? Plus, when does one consider midi? Is it for pedals like the H9 where it’s a multiple effects unit? Seems a very dangerous rabbit hope to venture down on ones own.
