DK broke up because like Dawn said there came a point in time where the girls were not happy with just Danity Kane so they sought happy was else where. Dawn with Diddy Dirty money, Audrey with broadway, d.woods and her magazine cover. They weren't ever a group just five women who sang together. When the cameras were off it was a different story.

Diddy sooo planned that come out. The girls were arguing and the truth was about to be revealed and then all of a sudden Diddy just so happens to come out at that exact time to bop. At the end of the day, all Diddy cares about is himself, and good television.

Dawn Aubrey and Shannon are on good terms now currently in 2024..... they got back together and toured they released a couple of new songs..... Aubrey and Dawn released the song Under Danity Kane..... they worked out the dk3 drama
The first problem was with management. They lost their manager, Johnny Wright. And notice how "Ride 4 u" came out so late. That's what Dwoods meant by professional things out of wack. So they found happiness elsewhere. Aubrey's broadway,magazines. Dwoods solo music, magazine Dawn recording with Diddy. Aundreas music with Baby Bash.
Well dawn recording with diddy was a final blow then to say well i have worked so long that i don't have to tell you which group member im working with solo

I’m inclined to believe Dawn here. Shannon is too nice of a person to just ignore Aubrey’s solo gig for no reason. If they really had shows and scheduled DK stuff and Aubrey and Dwoods skipped out on it for solo shit that is shady as hell.
But then also got me thinking more with recent events. If they weren’t getting much money working their asses off being puppets, they had to look elsewhere to make more income. When some of their parents expressed concerns / had questions, diddy was saying things like “drruugggging their ass in studio & pass em round to his peeps, pimp them out” . Things going on behind scenes… diddy had no intentions to really help after making band, was all about tv shows, after 1st album, he tried to faze them out with 2nd album in favour of day 26 until they spoke up… Then ppl in their ears pitting them against each other, revealing diddy plans for dawn, finding out dawn recording sessions with him & not the rest. So hearing that, the others weren’t happy & doing other things because they knew /assumed or thought dawn was going solo. Aundrea just wanted to be in group sing make music perform…. Aubrey was propositioned by diddy trying to be with her but she wasn’t interested/ not willing to play ball.

All played factor contributing to resentment, not trusting each other because dawn was secretive about what she was doing and then to find out from like a make up artist or stylist gossiping / letting things slip like photoshoots for dirty money, saying things like “see u at your photoshoot..” during or after dk stuff, overhearing conversations with dawn and producers too, confronting dawn… Though Aubrey and Shannon gave her taste of her own medicine with secret recordings she found out & didn’t like, she sucker punched Aubrey. Though wasn’t dawn fault, she was working with boss and told not to say. Diddy should have communicated that with group instead of secrecy to work with her alone
cuz some of the members especially D. Woods thought they could pull up a Beyonce..well none of the girlbands after Destiny's Child got solo that big as Queen B. (to me Normani is the next best thing i hope globally ppl will notice that)

I disagree, I don't think that Dawn wanted to leave the group and go solo. People have to remember that Dawn is a songwriter, even before and after the group. Surely Puff probably just asked for some of Dawn's input on a few tracks here and there, but it was only temporary. As far as Aubrey goes... I think that she was the main problem. Even when the group got back together in 2013 there were some reports that Aubrey was becoming a issue, but it wasn't until 2014 that Dawn had enough of the diva antics / bs that Aubrey seem to get back into the group.

Tommy Siro d. Woods actually only kept in contact with Aubrey and Shannon after the band broke up and I think she still has love for Shannon because she picked up her call for the reunion and she did later meet up with Aubrey after the 2nd disbandment
I think management has part of the blame. As stated in the name they should manage these type of situations before they escalate to this point and mediate situations and egos

Diddy... was really doing too much.. I think it all comes down to the person who created the group. Yeah, he was there, but he really wasn't there to really guide them and really be a mentor. He's all show. He, in fact has the biggest ego throughout this entire process. So relating back to what D. Woods said, Diddy didn't really provide a good foundation. They had no problems speaking up for the direction of their records, but couldn’t work out their own issues and hold one another accountable. Day26 did and Danity Kane for all their gallivanting about being veterans in comparison to “the boys” showed little to no poise and resolve in the midst of controversy. You saw DAY26 band together as brothers during tough times and still are together today. Danity Kane decided to faction themselves off and showed next to love and care for one another. That’s what caused their demise. Leave Diddy out of it.

He literally broke them up by disbanding the group, but he also didn't set a solid foundation for these girls to really make it. Like D said, they were in competition mode from the start, and they never really made it out of that mindset to be able to work together.
Sway set them up. Diddy came out to make them look bad on the cool. Like he was only there to support and didn't help with the mess. Notice the energy of the ladies when he came out. Aubrey didn't even get up. D Woods hugged him. Dawn didn't hug him back.
If his style weren't Dawn why'd he keep her then? Even after Diddy-Dirty Money, Diddy offered to keep her under contract but couldn't have her go solo right away because of her deal with Interscope.

Woods went to Aubrey's show, then apparently it wasn't a major gig that DK were required to do. Anyway, I'm sure if Diddy had kept all the girls in the loop about Dawn doing a solo project without the group, then Aubrey wouldn't have felt the need to do her own thing. D. Wood's is not just going to take Aubrey's side for no reason. Shady stuff was going on behind their backs.
