Technically you couldn’t kill the creatures because the were phased out, but also technically you had infinite life from staff, so it doesn’t matter.

Mandatory missplay comment: at 18:35 you should've gained 6 life to the Swords due to Alhamarret's Archive. And at 19:40 you should've drawn 16 cards because Chandra asks that you draw one more than the amount you discarded.

The threat assessment was a bit poor here 11:50. Planar Bridge is a "must kill" card. Either you destroy the bridge or the player asap. Not to mention that Chandra was about to ult.

Fantastic video. Great job. Your mono red deck is why I was so excited when Breya was printed. She gave Esper access to all of the fun cards in red which care about artifacts.

Am I missing something? How did Karn return Chandra? Doesn’t the ability only hit artifacts?

This video was an amazing example of how one play can swing the outcome of a whole game. I would love to have seen the politics of some of the choices being made during this game.

11:58 There's no issue whatsoever from casting World at War in your post combat main phase. It specifically says after the FIRST POSTcombat main phase, there's an additional combat phase, followed by an additional main phase. Fun facts: World at War is the only "additional combat phase" card that uses an apostrophe on "there is" to "there's". All of the additional combat phase cards printed as Sorceries (with exception being World at War), specifically says the additional combat phase follows THIS main phase - hinting at that you usually play Sorceries during a main phase on your own turn. If you somehow cast it at any other time than during a main phase (like thanks to Vedalken Orrery or Leyline of Anticipation), it only untaps the creatures that attacked this turn and no combat phase is generated. If you cast it during your OPPONENT's main phase, it will untap their creatures and generate another combat phase like it would yours. Goad away with cards like the new Marisi, Breaker of the Coil and continuously grant them additional combat phases to ensure some hilarity.

Yesterday I was jonesing for some new Daretti gameplay!

It doesn't really matter whether you cast World at war during the first or postcombat main phase

That's the most disgusting Daretti I've ever seen. It just dominated and flexed with Masterpiece after masterpiece.

World at war works fine to cast at second main. It is after the seond main you insert the extra combat and the creatures are untapped at the beginning of thatcombat, not at the next main.

If it's possible id love to see another gameplay video with the Kethis deck.

Can someone help me out I.e understanding the Metalworker + Staff of Domination “infinite combo” ? Once cards are revealed they cannot be revealed again can they? Maybe I should rewatch but I thought Staff didn’t come out until after Metalworker was given haste an artifacts in hand were revealed.

Maybe im wrong, but you dont have to play world at war necesary on the first main phase. You can play in the post combat main phase too!

Maybe I don't get something, but how were you able to get Chandra with the -2 from Karn? He can only get artifacts and the lattice was not in the game...

Did I miss something? Didn’t the Edgar phase out for the turn, thus preventing you from targeting his creatures?

Am I missing something with you wiping out his creatures at the end with the Contagion Engine? Wasn't he still Teferi's Protection'd out so his permanents would be phased out? Don't know how much it would've mattered with the mana lock, but he might have been able to get a swing in if nothing else.

This is the first game where I really seen your daretti deck go off when the words metal work 15 mana and staff of domination are said that’s when everyone is looking at the blue player to answer.

How did you put -1/-1 counters on creatures that were phased out? Or targeted a player with protection, for that matter? Granted, it doesn't really matter because you can gain infinite life with the staff and infinite mana and can blast Eric into oblivion in your next turn, but still...

My favourite mono red commander is Hidetsugu. Games are never long for me, either everybody dies or I die first lol

Quick note on the promos that's been bugging me for a while: "over $10 or more" would mean that the purchase value has to exceed an arbitrary unspecified amount (which we only know is greater than $10) in order to qualify. Clearly this isn't what you mean (or I HOPE it's not what you mean), and I doubt anyone would ever actually interpret it that way, but I'm enough of a nitpicker to be bothered by it and I'm having a bit of an OCD day. Apart from that, keep it up!

You mentioned twice after casting mycosynth lattice that this “locks eric from tapping mana” how? Mycosynth says all spells not in play are colorless and all players may spend mana as though it were any color. I Dont see a mana lock here at all

Here's a misplay comment I've not seen. Surely Edgar dealt 5 commander damage since he puts a 1/1 counter on him before damage.

Why is there only 30 lands in the Emmara deck? Even with low average CMC and all other mana generators you still need to hit lands to cast them and to recover from board wipes. No wonder the deck is totally mana screwed.
