Keep in mind that Murderous Prowess also triggers from the units you loose and the amount of kills required to trigger it is based on the amount of units brought (or the costs of the armies, not sure)
you prolly dont give a shit but if you're bored like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all of the new movies on instaflixxer. Have been binge watching with my brother during the lockdown xD
A lot of buff abilities in WH2 seem to have a lot of risk with them as well. That WoM ability the Delf have and the lizardmen healing spell had some massive debuffs. I really hope this risk:reward philosophy is standardize to WH1 factions as well. A great change IMO.
That's what I hoped for in the first game as well when they said that spells have a chance of "turning against the wizard" and it was just a bit of damage and a 50% miscast chance on empowered spells.
I hope so, I really like that aspect, I think it only applies to really strong stuff though, like mazamundi still has a heal called "apotheosis" or something like that, that heals a single unit and gives them fear, but the cold blooded one doesn't revive models, but the actual amount it heals is pretty fucking huge, so I'm glad for the debuff part of it
Actually Murderous Prowess counts both your and enemy's casualities. And one of Saurus' strengths is their HP pool. It is bigger than even elite units of DE, as well as most lords.
I hope that the Orc units get a boost to their leadership, combined with the chance to rampage. It doesn't currently suit them that they break against Empire swordsmen.
HOLY. FRUGGIN. SHIT... THIS IS AWESOME!! You, my friend, did a really splendid job, and you opponent to. Totally agree with you analysis. BUT! I must point you one thing - feral cold blood unit. Dirty cheap (450) with almost the same stats as mounted ones (just a little less MA and MD, less morale and much lesser health), fast, deal 30 AP dmg... Who the hell need skinks for flanking then you have those guys? This is the literally The Little Hound Unit Who Could, im so excited about them. You can spam this guys or support cav on the flanks... And can totally abandon regular cav and just bring 2 units + 1 feral T-rex. 2500 total, not to much for such power. Ofc this is just theory, but at least on paper this unit seems pretty unserful. P.S. Im so glad to see elite halberd unit who actually do their job. Cuz in 1st game Chousens was probably my biggest dissapointment.
is there some official info that we could play MP with the races from TW:W1 ? i dont think so.. you saw that HP pool which Mlekith has when hes on his dragon ? whoppin 6770 !! ze Red duke on his undead dragon has 3500 !! i dont think this is even funny
Would be lovely to see the units actually touching the artillery pieces. So pleased to se that you got early acces, would had been a huge grudge in the book otherwise.
So what calculates the threshold for murderous prowess? Is it 51% of the enemy's army or 25% of the total units on the field because I know that dark elf deaths contribute to the bar filling as well.
Hmm, I'm liking this build actually: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6BLVeOhp4qc.html Kroq'gar/Oldblood on Carno as lord, Skink Priest on Ancient Stegadon, 1-2 Chameleon Skinks vanguard deployed, maybe one unit of Temple guard, Bastiladon with healing crystal, 4 Saurus Warriors with shields, and maybe get those Feral Cold ones for the rest? Those only cost 450 points, have decent armor as well as armor piercing damage and good speed. You can use them to move around and attack the archers :)
Chameleon skinks are beasts. It also would have helped, if Indiepride had actually gone after the unprotected bolt throwers. He also didn't take any advantage over the larger general mobility of his units.
Dark shards look god tier as far as rank and file skirmishers go. Feel bad for the dwarf matchup. Some serious Anti-armor hitting power and powerful spells at the DE's disposal.
Quick mechanics question: Does Bonus vs Infantry/large go through armor? So if it has say 7 Armor pierce and 7 bonus vs Infantry damage does that basicly mean 14 Overall damage that bypasses armor? Or does the bonus get mitigated by armor?
bonus vs. infantry/cavalry is proportioned the same way as your weapon damage is, so for example if you have 12 weapon damage (8 normal 4 ap) along with a bonus vs. infantry of 20 the bonus vs. infantry will be split with the same proportions as the base weapon damage (in this case 75% normal 25% ap) and will be split into 5 ap and 15 normal damage added when fighting infantry. for a better explanation you can read this thread here: forums.totalwar.com/discussion/194500/armour-attack-defence-charge-bonus-and-bonus-vs-mechanics
Large is easy to counter in both WH1 and WH2. I wasn't terribly impressed with opponents army selection. Lizardmen should go wide or should get some terradons to provide more pressure.
Milk and cookies isn't really known for his competent level of play, but all he had to do was overcast a comet over the Cold Ones and Malakith they first time they surround his general and had to pop his ward save. The overcast comet does actually a lot of damage to lords, and is great vs cavalry units.
To be honest, I think factions like Empire and Wood Elves with all their nets, speed and ranged would do very well against for example Lizardmen. Dwarfs are completely fucked in my eyes. Those T-Rex's seem to act like giant chariots. Lots of slayers will be brought. :p
Have dark riders fire on the move because in 6th edtion on tabletop dark elfs where the best faction around 1000-1500 points because you have only used dark riders +2-3 mages with dark steeds or dark pegasus and that could be working on total war too when the dark riders have fire on the move!!!
so skaven, empire, dwarfs, wood elves, brettonnia, dark elves, lizardmen, high elves, and Orcs & goblins are all fucked? I think perhaps you are mistaken.
empire, dwarfs, WE, brettonia and the new elves ARE said missile factions. But any faction that has weak missiles and no hounds is in a lot of trouble.
you don't think missile factions ever play vs each other? you said anything without hounds is fucked vs missile factions, which includes missile vs missile match ups, so obviously false. there are only 2 non missile factions without hounds, skaven and lizardmen. why are they fucked exactly? one can spawn rats right on top of missile units and the other has feral cold ones, which are just better hounds.
Dark elves just look like a bunch of BDSM fiends. Those witches...who wears a G-string into battle??...with magenta tips in your hair? Ridiculous army design. High elves are just bland. Luckily the Lizardmen redeem all that.
