Dark Magician Trying Its Hardest in 2023 

😂😂😂😂😂 DM saw such a big decline since Branded got limited lmao.... I dont even know why DM players dont use Branded in competitive TCG settings, when they could easily setup a Dragon Knight board with ease. These players cram in a bunch of floodgates & a bunch of handtraps expecting to win, in reality, they're setting up to lose. 😂

I'm running a weird deck based around Chaos Scepter Blast right now...rotate level 8+ spellcasters and replenish the spell card with either magical stone excavation or Magician of Black Chaos. Assault Synchron to easily access level 10 synchro

Maybe try Dark Magician/Kashtira next? Just thought I’d throw that deck idea out there since I’ve been playing it and it’s actually kinda fun too. Especially since there’s decent synergy with the two archetypes. Btw, great duel you love to see it 😊

Bullshit it was just the “C.” Lab grinds like it’s a slave on a coffee bean plantation. Giving the archetype multiple Omni-pops, when it’s got searches for the best traps in the game just makes the advantage comparison even worse. Komoney needs to stop with the endless plussing for control archetypes.

It's the most retarded card ever and forces everyone to play an 8/9 card package that, if it did not exist, would allow for a TON more deck building variety and creativity. Maxx "c" is pure cancer

There is a continuous trap that does the same thing or the DM player could run Jinzo to really punish the Labyrinth player

I wish I could play SODM but it is a pain to summon 🤦🏻

With those spells and traps you could easily fill your deck with dm, dmg and timaeus cards. And some rods to get free tributes from dm and dmg then you can easily activate eternal soul into magicians combo into salvation and just loop it again next turn

Also as for the MU if they drew into ash a combo deck would've been able to do their thing end on multiple negates and Maxx C on the opponent's turn and here's the funny thing. Most meta decks have tons of room for handtraps and they can afford to run the Maxx C package and other staples, engines, or extenders meanwhile rogue decks are the ones lacking in deck space any pendulum deck, your favorite little blue eyes deck that's a bricky mess, galaxy eyes, etc all have to run that 9 card package with very little room for staples that counter the meta and have to ruin their consistency if they're trying to fit those staples in. Maxx C helps meta decks more than anything.

You know, that actually isn’t completely out of the question. Activision and their “skill based matchmaking” have been said to do similar things in Call of Duty, like matching players that have premium cosmetics against new players that don’t to “show off” the paid stuff, as well as sending players on a win streak into matches against sweaty try hards to knock them down a peg. After being beaten down enough, they’ll send noobs to this player to give them a “high” again and maybe want to play more and spend money on the cosmetics being thrown in your face. So it wouldn’t surprise me if Konami was to do something crazy like “protect” the players running their current cash cow cards by matching them with decks that won’t give them as much trouble. At the end of the day, this is just a conspiracy theory, but again, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was real.

It's really not that great and not to mention more difficult to ritual summon based on Star Level, it's doable but you have to run a less viable deck just to compensate for it as a ritual monster.

With Dragoon, it wouldn't. If you cannot win without Dragoon, that says a lot about you and your deck.
