@@downhill254skate Well that settles it. It'll be my first DH board since 2007, but IDF has a "Masters" class now so here we go. I sense the start of a probably painful learning curve with these new style tiny boards.
Cool review man 👍 Next grip tape I'll try will be this Dark matter. I'm really interested by this grip since the release, but I had just bought 2 packs of the Mob Super Coarse grip tape, which is really good so far ! Really grippy, and look long lasting.
Hi Abuga, this is South Korea and I always enjoy your in-depth reviews and RU-vid channel. I saw information on the ChemTrail Skate channel on RU-vid that the 2023 version of Dark Matter Grip has been upgraded from 60grit to 40grit, but the one you reviewed is the old version, right? I've tried leaving a comment on your blog twice, but the message keeps popping up saying it's waiting for approval, so I'll try leaving a comment here again. I hope you always stay safe and have a happy new year in advance.
Happy new year! Wanted to reply to this before I forget. Yess, the one I reviewed is the old version. But i now presently have the new version ... Yeah my blog i need to approve comments, otherwise i get hella spam from bots, it's crazy
For standup-only freeride at low-to-moderate speed on a topmount deck with simple concave, which one would you recommend among these 3 grip tapes: 60-grit Lokton, Cuei, and Dark Matter? (I'm assuming the 36-grit Lokton is too grippy for shuffling feet around for such use.) My guess: from your comparison table on your blog, I would assume that Cuei should be the best of the 3 because it's the only one that doesn't bite, but I wanted to make sure with you.
I really like the bite. I'd go with 60grit. You can shuffle.your feet, but you will still feel locked in when throwing slides. I literally got a new deck yesterday. Had to use BO grip. I wish I had 60grit lokton with me Also, remember, I use brake soles!,
