man ! as soon as i finished my 1st run on dark souls, took a happy (for real) 122 hours, i became addicted to your speedruns, good work, if only they were on 1080p tho :x
Just finished my own GS run, took me a little bit more (7.5 hours to be exact lmao). To be fair, I wasted at least an hour learning Duke's Archives skip, because I wanted to do it, and then wasted even more time on random things, like picking up useless loot. In any case, I love this sword, and thank you for the video!
Nice run! would recommend to get the chaos servant bonfire after defeating quelaag so you can warp there after getting the lordvessel. And maybe use the RTSR for some bosses (because it seems you barely take any damage).
Thanks! Yeah I just did this run for fun. That's why I didnt pick up RTSR so I didn't have to worry about dying at all. It def would make a lot of fights a lot faster though, especially the DLC bosses. As far as getting the chaos servant bonfire though it's way faster to run down to Blighttown twice rather than getting the bonfire and having to ride the elevators all the way back up to Firelink haha
What was your save file "All Weapons"? Was that a speedrun to collect every weapon, including the Boss weapons that you need to do a second or third run on? Thanks for the watch, I am going to try a Gravelord Sword speedrun soon.
@@riflevalentine1598 i am currently doing that in ds3 with every weapon +10/+5 with every infusion... its over 160 new game plus cycles i gotta go through.. and no.. using the catarina slab glitch is not allowed.
@@riflevalentine1598 after run 16 (im on 6 now) it will be simple actually cus i just need to rush slabs cus ill have enough of the weapons that you can get once per playthrough which are infusable the main issue right now is...... new game plus.... sucks c:
also ill get back to this comment once this mostrosity has been completed i plan to stream it again cus i used to a while back but my internet isnt good enough at the moment... tho this all will still take a LOT of time
I fucking love this sword! It's so cool and obtainable early! I wish it didn't require demon tianite (might've spelled it wrong) and did more damage early on and end game
Yeah the damage ends up not being great and it sucks killing titanite demons for upgrade material, but the moveset and the look of the sword more than make up for all that.
I actually really like the moveset personally. The running attack is quick and the R2 poke is also a really fun attack to use every now and then. The first R1 can be slow but once you chain attacks together it works pretty well.
@@riflevalentine1598 that’s true about chaining attacks. You can stun lock pretty well with it. Just gotta make sure you have some poise for that first hit
I hate the fashion souls. Pinwheel dropped the child’s mask and I was rocking the silver knight set. Accidentally hurt the far easterner npc, had to kill him n the invisible ninja, the mask n silver knight set looks too good to use the flippy ring. I’m torn…
Very nice! I don't like using spells, but I guess hidden body is a good replacement for Fog Ring and leaves a free ring slot. I thought about killing Pinwheel right after getting the sword, then running to Patches for the skull lantern and to Snuggly for Fog Ring, then killing Griggs for Slumbering Dragoncrest to make a complete stealth run. What do you think?
Overall I would say Black Knight Halberd is way easier of a run. It does way more damage and getting twinkling titanite is really easy. Gravelord sword is dangerous to get early because of the catacombs. Also demon titanite is way harder to obtain because you have to kill the titanite demons. Personally though I love the look and moveset of the gravelord sword so I enjoy using it.
As far as damage output yes. It has way better scaling and you can buff it with resin or spells. At the end of the day though it's all about finding a weapon you like the appearance and moveset of, so either one could be considered "better". At least in my opinion.
@@riflevalentine1598 awesome to know, it's great you're still replying after all this time as well! Great speed run vid btw Is there anyway I can make it even stronger without the resin and stuff? I watched the vid but I couldn't quite see what you used
@angrymeowmeow The only thing you can do with the gravelord sword is upgrade it to +5 with demon titanite. Titanite demons drop it, and there's also some chests in Anor Londo that have some as well. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I'm not 100% sure but I would assume if you upgraded a claymore to +15 it would do more damage because it has better scaling than the Gravelord Sword. Also with a claymore you can add resins or spell buffs which you cant do to the Gravelord Sword.
@@keepitsecretce4954 Yeah that's because the Gravelord Sword has really high base damage. Which makes it really good for low stats at the beginning of the game. Once you start getting into late game though you can notice the damage starts to drop off and weapons with better strength and dexterity scaling become the better option.
If you 2 hand the weapon you can still use the sword with less strength. If you notice when I only have it in one hand theres a red x on it but when I 2 hand it I can use the weapon like normal.
Two-handing a weapon virtually increases strength by 50%. Which means that if you pick the requirement, divide by 1.5 and then round up (if needed), you get the min. requirement for two-handing a weapon. 24/1.5 = 16
