@@oddshaft4851 Nah I've yet to find good metalcore clean vocals that don't sound whiny or cringe. I'm a big fan of Goji but joes got ok clean vocals. Agree with Opeth and 90% of melodeath though.
All has now been broken On streets I dare not walk Freedom is an illusion I build my fences high If there was something out there I've learned not to expect There's a hundred million reasons Not to care Don't bring it Don't bring it Don't bring your misery down on me Don't bring it Don't bring it Don't bring your misery down on me Wear misery's crown As always in these matters You broke the deal of deals And wasted what was given To revel in your mess I gave up all for nothing I tried my best and failed There's a thousand million reasons Never to share again This is how it all begins This is how it all begins Don't bring it Don't bring it Don't bring your misery down on me Don't bring it Don't bring it Don't bring your misery down on me Wear misery's crown This is how it all begins Come now Come now Come now Don't bring it Don't bring it Don't bring your misery down on me Don't bring it Don't bring it Don't bring your misery down on me Wear misery's crown
It is impressive how people think metalheads are. When I tell anyone that I listen to this kind of stuff, they say that everyone that does that is crazy. However when you look around it's actually the opposite: We are united by the love for Metal! If you go to any "normal" music video (like pop) you'll see fans in the chat fighting against each other, whereas when you come to a ("crazy, satanist") Metal music video, everybody is together, and different opnions are given and respected, without any bad result. I reckon people are so busy criticising us that they forgot to look at themselves.
+Matheus Nasi Tell that to me...When I tell people that I listen to this kind of stuff, they say that i'm a satanist but they will never know how dope this genre is.
They played yesterday with Ensiferum @ Mennecy Metal Fest, and this was their last song. I screamed Misery's Crown during the show, Mikael looked at me and I understood that they were planning to play it. What a show, great crowd, great lineup. Big love 💘
Mikael Stanne was vocals for In Flames’ Lunar Strain debut album. Anders Friden was vocals on Dark Tranquillity’s Skydancer debut album. Then they switched bands! It's very interesting! So much amazing talent that comes from the Nordic/Scandinavian region!
Great band. Just started listening to them, and I must say I'm impressed. The singer's cleans are so good, so are his screams. Full of energy, plus you can actually understand what he's saying.
well its all a matter of taste : ) In the long run, I think Stanne is the best. His broad range and the way he can alter and do variations with his growling is quite unique and makes him win in the long run.
I thought it was too different people when only listening to it. I still think that was the intended purpose as the lyrics don't seem consistant enough to be coming from the same person. This song seems to be about a conflict between two people.
I saw them on the 2nd of April as a aupport band for Amon Amarth, I was really impressed, they rocked the sold out hall! It was my first Dark Tranquillity concert and it was definitely not my last one! Can't wait to see them again!
I have never heard a band that can imbue and saturate you with fervent feelings like Dark Tranquillity. These dismal lyrics can pierce your heart like a knife.
This was the last song they played 2 days ago in Michigan. Small venue but nevertheless an amazing performance and got to take a picture with Stanne. He's such an amazing and down to earth guy. We got to hang out with the band after the concert. it was great.
Dark Tranquility, One of my favourite melodic doom death metal bands from Sweden!! They are really wonderful!! Greetings from Ecuador! (Lago Gris, gothic metal band).
Omgg I LOVE THIS SONG!! I haven't heard this band in around 8-9 years, completely forgotten their name & songs until I finally found them again omgg❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hey metal brothers and sisters! This is such a great song... I am a drummer, so I know that I mean! But text and music are so important to me. when I reach the bottom, I listen to this song and I start to lift up, to resurrect, to climb up the mountain! Thanls a lot, this Dark Tranquillity finds my music roots, my soul, and, despite of any pre-judgment, gives me power to carry on! Long Live Metal!
One of the stand out songs from the album...and one of my favorites..."As always in these matters...you broke the deal of deals" // "I gave all for nothing, I tried my best and failed"
19.11.2021 was a milestone in my life. I watched DT on stage, it was one of the best days in my life. You guys are legends. Hope to see you soon. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
There are so many songs to mention....Start with The gallery, the mind's I,Projector and then listen everything they have done....Every album is amazing...!!!
No matter Mikael sings with normal or brutal voice, he is amazing as we see in this song. This is an art!!! ... And all we have to do is.. Turn the fuckin' lights off, light all the fuckin' candles up and enjoy the Dark Tranquillity!!
I listen to this song and deep down inside I feel like I'm missing something, it makes me sad, maybe the darkness of snow and winter is also affecting it, maybe I'm just missing summer but hell this is a powerful song.
DARK TRANQUILLITY - Misery's Crown , lyrics: All is not been broken On streets I cannot walk Freedom is an illusion I build my fences high If there was something out there I've learned not to expect There's a hundred million reasons Not to care Don't bring it Don't bring it Don't bring your misery down on me Don't bring it Don't bring it Don't bring your misery down on me The misery's crown As always in these matters You broke the deal of deals And wasted what was given To revel in your mess I gave up all for nothing I tried my best And failed There's a thousand million reasons Never to share again This is how it all begins This is how it all begins Don't bring it Don't bring it Don't bring your misery down on me Don't bring it Don't bring it Don't bring your misery down on me The misery's crown This is how it all begins Come now Come now Come now Don't bring it Don't bring it Don't bring your misery down on me Don't bring it Don't bring it Don't bring your misery down on me The misery's crown line-up: Martin Henriksson Guitars Anders Jivarp Drums Mikael Stanne Vocals Niklas Sundin Guitars Martin Brändström Keyboards, Electronics Daniel Antonsson Bass Thanks DT \m/
The beauty his voice is something I wish to see more of melodic death metal bands, or simply metal bands in general like Mr. Mikeal Stanne. The memories I have blasting this song on my phone while doing my high school homework is just nostalgic.
I havent listened to metal for nearly a decade, now i am rediscovering all the bands and songs. Do you have any recommendations for me after such a long while?
I'm from Canada and I think that the darkest roots of Metal comes from Scandinavian countries... This is why they kick lots of a(ss)es. I just love DT and I hope they will come back in Québec city. Be blessed by the power of Metal.
I prefer Dark Tranquility because it's a little more towards sounding like Black metal. While In Flames is definitely more towards sounding like Death metal.
Been a big fun of metal for a long time. Grew up listening to Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and all the other pioneers of metal out their. Dark tranquility have been around for a while and are still going on strong. Great song btw.
Las canciones de Dark Tranquility" crean una atmósfera entre misteriosa y elegante. Ambiente que saben recrear muy bien en su directo. Larga vida para este estupendo grupo de Death Metal melódico.
i would have survived without knowing them :( , i have been listening to their music for about 10 years now , what an amazing feeling to be that dedicated to such a beautiful band
in one of his ask me anything videos, (it was one of the first 3) he got asked "what kind of swedish metal do you like?" its how i found dark tranquillity, i have been hooked on them since XD
I've listened a lot death metal bands...including melodic, black, symphonic etc.So far they're the best.Every song i heard from them,I want to hear it at least second time. Great song, great band!
