One of the funniest DSP moments that stands out to me is he was playing Star Wars Battlefront and he spilled water on himself while opening a new bottle and he then said “they overfilled the bottle at the factory!” He couldn’t even accept responsibility for spilling water on himself lmaooo
One of the peak moments is him pigsplaining what "rainy day fund" means. He gets it completely wrong and exposes his childish mentality about money and spending, takes it literally as meaning a day where it rains, calls people in chat trying to correct him wrong and stupid, then finally realizes he had it backwards and says "well I guess the definition must've changed or something, that's what I was taught in school!".
No wonder the only interaction he has with his son is through the occasional e-mail. Talk about disassociating yourself from an absolute embarrassment.
He should be grinning from ear to ear with how much money he's syphoned from his brain dead fans over the years. And this documentary won't prevent him getting any more money in future either.

One thing that you didn’t mention about the one time Phil won a tournament is that version of Street Fighter was not the accepted tournament version of the game at the time, and beyond that, there were notable bugs and stategies in the version that are entirely separate than the accepted tournament versions. DSP changed my life. I was gaming with a bro one day and was blaming everything on the game and not me. My bro told me I could rival DSP with my baby rage. That hit hard
Ouch, but glad you saw the light. My cousin was the same way when we were kids. He kept losing at Mario Kart and said "the game was against him". That always stuck with me because of how bizarre it sounded....but some people really are like that, well into adulthood. Glad to say that my cousin grew up, but some people never do.
I disagree when people say Phil BEGS for money. The correct word is DEMAND. He demands money from his audience with the entitlement of a year worth of Karen compilations.
The longer-view lens of his antics you have, yeah it’s crystal clear he has a very unique sense of entitlement. It’s slipped out in the craziest ways time and again, and most importantly, recently too. One of his worst slip-ups was this year.

I've never understood how Phil has been terminally online for nearly 2 decades but still doesn't seem to have a basic understanding of how the internet works.

It's because Phil is locked in an iron tight bubble. He has never gone out of the bubble to reflect on his choices. He's perfectly comfortable being a pile of trash. Instead of taking this video to heart, Phil is going to pray very hard that it nets him a few more paypigs.
I'm barely a third of the way into this, and this guy seems like a pretty textbook example of "If you think everybody around you is a problem, it might be time to consider that YOU'RE the problem."

Is the thing about him graduating valedictorian for real, or just something he said? Imagine graduating top of your class, and then going directly to the bottom of life.
The (normally) good qualities he does have like self confidence and dedicated commitment ironically work the hardest against him. He needs to be studied by our most astute psychological clinicians. We’ll always have the mountains of video, but this fool needs to meet with professionals. Knowing what we know regarding internet culture, streamers and Gen Z and millennials, this type of personality could easily start popping up all over the globe.

He added to this story later by telling how his parents got him an N64 for Christmas, he found it early, and they let him plug it in and play early. Then he celebrates that his parents "must've learned their lesson from the Wolverine toy". It absolutely sounds like they knew how this dude is, that he would pester them about the toy if they got it early since he clearly did just that with the N64. So they tried to teach him a lesson, and he took it the opposite of that and holds a petty grudge about it. Someday his dad is on his deathbed, asks for his pills from across the room, and DSP will snort and go "Oh you want your pills huh? You want those? Well I wanted that Wolverine toy!"

Phil was not "young" as in child but 15 years old when that action figure event happened. He accidentally shared the age it happened completely in passing during one of his streams
How traumatic that must've been for him - I bet he has PTSFD[induced by parental refusal to meet his basic needs]. Or rather, I should sell it and donate the $$$ to Phil.💸
@@lennefujimura Damn that was good lmao. I figured I'd add context to the storyline as many people overlook that he wasn't a tiny child or even something like 11 or 12. He was 15 and could have done something to get the figure or just let it go. As he should know better.
Not only that but something else everyone keeps forgetting is the end of the story, where he mentions that he didnt get the figure that year, and he had to wait A WHOLE YEAR before he got it. The funniest thing about Phil's WWE Champions addiction is that WWE fans actually caught wind of it and have signs about him bring broke in the front row on PPV.
@joshuamunn2410Wow, really? Even Kevin Nash? Cool, he's the WWE guy who kept tripping and falling down and hurting his quad? But now I don't even have a working TV so I couldn't watch it, even if I wanted to. But whatever. Sir Phailbert Beggs-Alot is like the adult real life Eric Cartman. @@rubensano4860 Correct, forgot the name of the dude but he donated the 1k for the goal at the end of stream anyways, it was a scam from the very beginning lol
The most amusing thing about it is people had already guessed what the reveal was. Then DSP tried to act as if nobody had, which makes it even more wild as he filmed it happening. He has spent his life filming all his mistakes then denying they ever happened.
DSP pay walled a "positive reveal" if he got $1000. Phil got $1000 from his audience and one paypig, PlanetJeff, was waiting in the wings with another $1000 in case the goal wasn't hit. Right before the reveal, members of his audience had already called out the surprise in chat to which Phil responded by rapidly deleting comments. Then without any fanfare, Phil lets Jasper, an adopted de-clawed cat into the office. Viewers and especially those who gave $$$ for this were not pleased as you would expect. PlanetJ followed up with a $1000 superchat with something along the lines of "wow that's nice Phil, reminds me of my pet blah blah." It was the weakest and most expensive reveal I have ever seen. To say it was a scam is being nice.
This is so bizarre to see with all in the world that has changed, Phil has managed to stay exactly the same like a walking time capsule. The last I latched onto watching his "spectacle" of a life, shall we say, was around the time of the 'caught JOing" nonsense and seeing him, seemingly, shake it off surprisingly well. I guess even I'M not cynical enough to have written him off as a truly lost cause and yet that seems to be the case, seeing everything of the same that seems to have followed. Only for him to then turn up in the middle of my more recent vtuber obsession. Phil ended up in a TIHYDP-style comparison of Phil and Amelia Watson of Hololive. A virtual avatar streamer that was able to complete a simple physics puzzle in BotW without issue while Phil manages to completely misunderstand the puzzle, failed to solve it, got mad at Aonuma (iirc), then accidentally solved the puzzle while raging through brute force but left without ever even understand what the puzzle was in the first place. It is absolutely unreal seeing he and Chris-chan still be relevant in the worst ways possible over a decade later.

That's one of the things that bothers me about DSP and other well known lolcows. They get to make more money than the average fast food worker by just sitting and playing video games.
