A lot of metal musicians like to say that they want to stay underground and that they don't want fame. I usually roll my eyes and call bullshit. But this guy is not kidding. They could be towards the top on festival bills and probably make 100 grand per performance easily. Yet he chooses to live in a shitty apartment and just live for the music. That's pretty awesome right there. Even though I'd love to see them live.

VicRules666 Do you realize she makes over a million per show right? 100 grand might be a bit steep for Darkthrone, but nonetheless, they could make a fuckload playing festivals cause so many people would kill to see them live. Solo shows, they wouldn't make that much though, obviously.

I used to meet Fenriz back in 1999 in Elm Street pub when I was an Erasmus student in Oslo, he was a regular customer there, he's a very nice guy. Hellhammer was often there too, and some guy from Dimmu Borgir, but they wer not as friendly as him.

I am 53, raised a family , owned homes, had an amzing job etc...But was Miserable. 8 years ago I gave it all up, found a job that I actually like alot less money but I am no longer stressed and burnt the fuck out. Holy shit, I remember sifting through vinyl at the old punk record shop in the 90's and buying anything that looked like it would be fun to play at a shitty drunken punk house party. Adrenaline OD was one of those scummy gems we rocked out to. Fuck, it's awesome to see Fenriz having a blast listening to that stuff.
