I loved the nuggets about Rhaegar in this episode. Shows that every villian has someone that loves them and every hero has someone that hates them

It still boggles my mind how much Mike admires Cersei and blames everyone else for Cersei's actions/decisions. Don't get me wrong, I love a character like Cersei for the drama she brings to stories, but I don't admire her at all.

I adore Cersei because she brings the drama. A good way to describe why Stannis is so likeable is by quoting Quinn the GM from his Stannis the Mannis video: "he's just Ned but is a darker character" basically he's like a replacement Ned if Ned did things more violently.

I get everyone's experience watching the show is different. But i can't understand why people don't really like Daenerys while she is in Meereen. With the whole locking the 2 dragons away, they literally kill someone's child. If danny were any other targaryen she would be like "oops my bad, that`s what dragons do..." but because she cares about her people and want's to be a good queen she locks 2 of the dragons away as a form of protecting her people (like shown in other episodes they are wild beast, even her mother can`t control them 100%), so the fact that she chooses her people over the dragons "freedom" is (as i see it) something she hates doing but knows its necessary to protect her people. 🐉👱‍♀

Season 5 is based off of the books. There are 5 books. Season 6 uses story and plots that are being set up in the books but the climaxes to those stories are in book 6 which hasn’t been released yet. So season 6 is partly based off of books and partly it’s own thing

You guys always seem to think the absolute most negative interpretations of character interactions, to the extent that it doesn't even make any sense with what you're actually watching. Why would Cersei kill Mace Tyrell here? You don't explain your reasoning. You're just like "she's crazy" and then you think of the craziest possible thing that would happen that wouldn't make any logical sense and doesn't match up with what you've been watching.

I understand it's confusing but that is the point. History is written by winners and you can see the differences between what people say of Rhaegar in Westeros as he is the kidnapper and rapist of Lyanna Stark but when Ser Barristan, a person who knew rhaegar, says he loved to sing and was "good". The show is very fantasy and political but they George RR Martin was realistic to how people and the word work. Also the reaction to Ser Barristan was so amazinggggg! Ser barristan was one of my favorite characters and I had the exact same reaction. And I was high while watching this and I couldn't stop laughing. I felt youu

I guess he liked to sing and he didn't like violence, but we've seen through bits of the show and Lore videos that Rhaegar kinda started the "backthen" war by kidnapping Lyana Stark Peach/Bowser style. Things didn't pop off until his crazy dad, the Mad King himself, burnt Ned's father and brother alive for demanding her back, but the kidnapping was the first domino. Especially bc Robert Baratheon fancied himself a bit of a Super Mario, and rebelled against the Targaryans with Ned so he could get his Peach back.

Stannis is the best character by a mile

I'm here for dragons not fight scenes, but I gotta say, they really made Barriston actually go Kaioken. Dude was so quick and precise going from one dude immediately into another, and he might well be older than three of them combined. Fights tend to be slow in media so people can keep up more easily (plus easier on untrained actors or w/e I imagine), the rest of them were going at movie fight scene speed, Barriston actually went irl speed, except with like ten swords and daggers flailing around him. It was actually some DBZ Kaioken ish, Barriston was just on a different tier of speed. They were going movie speed, he was going "no I'm actually here to unalive you" speed. Mans broke through their speed tier

The “they usually fight in formations” isn’t valid. Soldiers aren’t trained to do one thing and one thing only. Barriston didn’t go out like a bad ass. The unsullied were made dumb yo get stuck in a situation they should easily be able to get out of. Narrow halls with spears? Just literally stand shoulder to shoulder and poke. That’s what they’re designed for. The reason people hate the scene where Barriston gets injured is because…well it’s dumb. He’s a legendary warrior who cleaved through tons of knights on numerous battlefields. Meanwhile he’s stabbed by untrained nobodies in open combat. It wasn’t handled well. Plus…he’s still alive and well in the books. They did him really dirty in show.

I have to laugh at your hypocrisy. You hate Margery for giving the poor food because it was a play. But you love Cersei who does NOTHING for the commoners, and EVERYTHING is a play, just because you want to hate on her. Did it ever occur to you that Margery gave the food to the poor and other things like that not just because it was a play? Maybe it was a play and her being a good person at the same time. I mean there are other plays she could do that wouldn't help the people as much, that would still make them like her. But she chose to do good things for them.
