Darth Vader Vs Darth Maul We All Know they Face Off in the comic book Star Wars Tales and this is my way of bringing it to life for you all Hope you all like it
Imagine if that actually came out with a game where you’re Vader and actually hunting down Jedi. Getting to have epic battles that damage your armour and are challenging as hell. That, I’d buy.
Probably the reason why we dont have any games for that because it would be too bloody easy. The jedis have always been the underdogs after the order 66 destroyed the majority of jedis. And with Darth Vader being the most powerful force sensitive being in the universe, it wouldn't be much of a challenge for him. Of course until Luke came along that is.
He is supposedly very fast & pressing. He may not be "nimble" but there is a reason he killed nearly every Jedi he encountered aside from the ones he claimed as inquistors.. very few would ever live to tell the tale of an encounter with him. Like the no witness thing was his niche, most of the galaxy considered him a myth... imagine hearing the stories & then having him board your ship, or even worse, show up at your home..
Obi-wan having trained him has what it takes to counter that uncontrolled rage, i dont think Vader was ever trying to kill Luke, he really wanted him to join him so they could overthrow the Emperor
Vader could have easily designed his own suit and took over the Galaxy. It always frustrated the living hell out of me that he didn't but.... Palpatine's greatest power was his ability to control someone's mind and Anankin was no different.
It’s silly that they have to move at all since it would make more sense to just stand there and force-choke the other guy, or have random objects fly at his head. C’mon. This is stupid
But then he found himself again and it hurts still now as it did when I was a kid. One of my favorite quotes in another film was: "No matter how you feel about the guy, Vader embraced his fate. He faced his death head on..." 😭
People tend to forget that Qui Gon was seen as almost on par with yoda in the force and lightsaber combat (in the lore) and Maul beat him 1v2. Maul is underrated!
I read the novel of Episode 1 and it says the mainreason why Maul has beaten Qui-Gon was he is physically stronger, extreme athletic, mouch younger, more powerful and aggressive in the lightsaber combat. Palpatine knew that combat has a physical aspect and he has trained Darth Maul into a brutal fighting machine. At this time Darth Maul is a MMA Fighter with a Lightsaber and Basic Force Powers. 😁
@@danmavin_sos I directly replied without looking at the other comments. Don't worry, though. People who write then instead of than need to be reminded every now and then.
Yes Cal's story is technically what saved Luke and Leia. They would certainly have been on the list of force sensitive children. Cal destroying the holocron essentially made it so the empire could not find Luke and Leia
@@thezeta2762 Yes he does. Especially in Legends. There’s even a comic issue where he confesses to what may or may not be Padme’s ghost that he hates himself more than anything for all he’s done.
@@thezeta2762 My original comment was quoting a comic book where Vader and Maul fought one another, and as Maul is dying he asks him where he gets his hate from, and Vader point blank says myself. Plus I don’t see how being a Sith Lord means you can’t hate yourself. Sith typically draw that power from something they hate with a passion.
"Only way to bring back Qui Gon is for Rambo to summon Godzilla from the bridge of the Enterprise while picking his nose with Infinity Gauntlet." -Kratos
Cool concept, but I always felt Darth Vader to be more of a brute force in character. He wouldn’t be nimbling through small crevices and talking in soothe tones. He’d instead blow up whatever was in his way and talk down to anyone he felt beneath him (so pretty much everyone). I haven’t played this game so maybe I’m missing important context, but so far this doesn’t seem like the Vader I remember.
This is a mod for a different game, but I wouldn’t say Vader is a brute. He isn’t nimble because of the suit, but his knowledge of the force and his ability to wield it is far from brutish. He’s cunning, intelligent, skillful, and is really a genius when it comes to military tactics. He destroys things to make a point and send a message, but that isn’t brutish.
I agree... Vader uses the force like a Kung Fu master performing katas. What Vader lacks in saber skill, his use of the force is undeniable. Darth Maul would be no match for Vader. The funny thing is... in the end Obi defeated them both...lmao!
I do admit, a regretful Darth Vader who breaks away from Palpatine and seeks redemption, going on the run from the empire, looking for any Jedi to help rebuilt the order as it once was would be an interesting concept. Having the look and intimidation factor of Vader yet Vader being a good guy would be entertaining as a game.
Bit like what I would have done with ending the Sequel Trilogy ("Boo! Hiss!", I know). Instead of Ben dying, him going on the run spending the rest of his days wandering the galaxy helping anyway he could, fighting for the people to make up for the atrocities he commited as Kylo Ren.
A pure Vader game I can definitely get behind. Having different local fauna/beasts and citizens fighting off Vader and the Empire which you hunt down the Jedi would be sick!!
I really like how it gives the vibe that Darth Vader survived the death star explosion and is slowly working his way towards Redemption. Anakin returns to find his son and daughter. To be continued?
6:36 I like to think of this as a redeemed light side Anakin/Vader vs crime lord Maul. Like Vader survived and is on a redemption arc after RotJ and is struggling to be as powerful after the lightning from Sidious and learning how to use the light side instead of relying on his anger and hatred from the dark side. So when he meets Maul who’s been stewing in the dark side while taking over the underworld, he has some trouble and needs some help but you can still see some of that lightsaber skill from past Anakin here. Like he’s still one of the best in terms of lightsaber combat, but is having trouble with his connection to the force and learning how to be powerful in it as Anakin again instead of as Vader. So Maul has the upper hand in this but loses because Anakin has learned to rely on others again while Maul is still alone.
@@cameronjennison2047 true but I’m thinking of an alternate timeline deal because like I said what if Vader survive episode 6. I heard somewhere that a draft of the sequels by George or Filoni or someone had Maul as a crime lord with his own new apprentice or something. I don’t know how valid it is but I like that idea of going in a different direction of what we’ve seen. Like what a lot of people thought Book of Boba would’ve been but with Maul as an actual evil crime lord sith. Sort of like when he was working with Vizla and Savage but on a much larger scale. On par with Pykes and Hutts, making alliances, just taking over and building an underworld army to the point he becomes a real galactic threat alongside his new apprentice. Idk it just sounds original and different from the sequels which seemed to start by rehashing the same known to work formula of Star Wars stories, try some new stories in the 2nd film and then panic with a fanfiction like third film😄. Would’ve loved to see a good trilogy or at least long running show with Maul as the main villain and dealing heavily in the underworld. Executions, torture, spice running, slavery I mean Maul could’ve been really detestable as the top crime lord and then he would be crazy strong biding his time until Vader fell and honing his skills to be only beatable by Luke or Anakin. But they would have to get past the entire underworld of the galaxy with a rebellion greatly weakened by the war and against an army that uses every dirty and evil trick to win. Lol I mean it’s probably a terrible idea but at least it feels fresh. Lucasfilms seems terrified to go past a story that doesn’t involve this time period or the Skywalkers. I’d love to see a more brutal side of the galaxy and real problems and characters that the Jedi didn’t typically face during the republic. Part of why I loved Cad Bane and Boba. They represented a darker seedier element of the galaxy. A Vader who survived facing Maul just made think of all the possibilities for a crimelord Maul story. I loved how Mayo died. It was pretty perfect in my opinion but Clone Wars turned him into arguably my favorite Star Wars character and villain right next to Vader. So a scenario where these two face off in a new story and timeline just seems interesting to me.
@@CertifiedFresh7 I know hence the light side Vader. I'm talking about an alternate story. Where Maul didn't find Obi-wan on Tatooine where he killed him. I loved how he went out don't get me wrong. But I'm talking about a story where instead of Maul being in rebels he just became the biggest crime lord in the galaxy kinda like how he took over deathwatch and what we saw him begin to do in Solo and in the bad batch. Just a crazy powerful and ruthless Maul taking over the criminal underworld. in this alternate I think it would've been cool to see Vader survive and come back to the light side as Anakin on sort of a road to redemption or penance for all the evil he did hence my initial comment Here I pictured them fighting each other where Anakin is still crazy skilled but getting used to being strong like he was before and not relying completely on the dark side to make him stronger. Hence why Maul can best him in a duel here but Anakin can still hold his own and put Maul on the ropes. I see Maul being much stronger now and I feel he could've had an edge on an Anakin getting used to not being Vader anymore whereas even much stronger I feel Vader would've toyed with and defeated Maul nearly every time. Such as Ahsoka told Maul when they fought in Clone Wars how at that time she knew Anakin was far more powerful than either of them and how she felt Maul would have stood no chance if Anakin HAD actually showed up to face him that day in his prime.
true you can play as almost anyone Darth Revan Darth Vader Ahsoka Luke Skywalker Anakin Skywalker Master Windu HK-47 i made videos for all of them check them out
Am So Happy You Noticed Today a Lot of ppl don't Know about Kotor or the about Revan or His Story Kotor for me has if not the best story in all of Star Wars and the Music just as good as the movies it makes me happy you knew what it was! Thank you!!!!!!
@@mirk5144 Vader's already shown his telekinetic skill against competent opponents in many media. Maul barely had the telekinetic proficiency of Force Push, let alone a powerful blast. It's essentially Mike Tyson versus a kindergartener.
@@mirk5144 I'll readily agree, Feloni massively expanded both Maul & Kenobi. But it's documented in lore, neither of them are inately gifted in telekinesis. Recall when Maul was in jail, he used Teras Kasi to escape, not telekinesis. His thoughts on this are literal on page. Kudos on your lore knowledge, by the way.
Fun fact, Anakin was destined to bring balance to the force, but Jedi never understood the force and balance. Balance was equal amount of dark force users to the light force users, and Vader did succeed in that task leaving 2 of each.
Nope, balance meant the force in its natural state (which is the light side). The dark side is a forceful manipulation / perversion of the force, hence its corrupting nature. Remember, Vader killed Palpy, and he died himself, thereby only leaving Luke behind. That isn't balance by your own definition. What the Jedi misinterpreted was that balance would be achieved, but at great cost, and was the cost for this prophecy really worth it for their order and the galaxy?
Honestly, I love James Earl Jone's Darth Vader Voice, but ever since the introduction of Hayden Christensen's Anakin my mind cannot connect the 2 together. However, this voice actor's line delivery bridge the gap between Vader and Anakin.
Narrative Volume at End of Video by creator is too low of volume. Needs to be louder in order to hear on Smartphone. No big amplified 7.1 Sound System for me at this time. Good luck. Love the crawling through narrow passage way at beginning of Video.
Since when did Darth Vader leap around and do shoulder-rolls and what not? I always saw him as like some huge, implacable force that just battered down everything in his way, Force-throwing people all over the place, batting away blaster bolts, dicing up hapless fools with his sabre...
I feel like Maul wouldn't be able to take on Vader for as long as this battle lasted. I think that Maul would lose to Vader in a matter of minutes(2 or 3)as Vader is stronger in the force even with his suit. Lightsaber duelling though is Mauls thing but Vader before he was burnt is kinda tricky.

Lightsabers are one of those get hit once and you're dead mechanics, and always seems a bit cheesy when applied to video games where the opponents are struck several times throughout the fight, but you have to suspend disbelief for it to really work. I'd love to see a combat game that forced you to rely completely on avoidance rather than just grinding down the opponents health over several attacks. Just one blow, dead. Of course characters in Star Wars canon have survived saber attacks, but for the most part the opposite should be true.
There's a mode in Devil May Cry where you if you or the enemy gets hit, you or the enemy die immediately. There's also the another mode in a similar vein but the enemies keep the normal amount of health to kill.
"ightsabers are one of those get hit once and you're dead mechanics, " What are you talking about, that's not how it's portrayed on screen. It's like a katana. You can get sliced across the chest with a kanata but it would be a light cut. To do "one shot one kill" you would have to get the weapon to cut deep into the person's body, such as the strikes they do in kendo. But if you're trying cut deep into the torso and guy steps back and instead it ends up just barely scraping him, that wouldn't kill him. But avoidance is definitely what you want. You want to dodge, step back, or block it with your own light saber. We see them do it that way in the movies.
I play ghost of tsushima duels on max dificulty and die if hit, though you have to strike the oponent several times. Also for honor duels can be played like this
use the force :D you can play as almost anyone Darth Revan Darth Vader Ahsoka Luke Skywalker Anakin Skywalker Master Windu HK-47 i made videos for all of them check them out
In an alternate universe, Darth Vader wields Ahsokas lightsaber in the clone wars episode and remembers the light in him. He seeks out to find the remaining Younglings and bring them back to the temple with hope
Darth Maul is scarier when he's not talking. That killed it. Plus the fact that he isn't wearing his cape and has a different style lightsaber than originally in The Phantom Menace. It feels like the complete opposite of the real Darth Maul
For this are the video games, to see the impossible possibilities of the STAR WARS universe. But to be honest, Darth Maul is much faster and more dangerous in his attacks than a slow Darth Vader.
The lightsaber is not an essential weapon for Vader. His power with the force , force lightning etc is sufficient to overcome just about any jedi or sith
I loved the part where Lord Vader in a flourish smoothly brought out his second lightsaber you don't even see where it came from it was so seamless. SEEING LORD VADER WITH TWO SABERS IS CRAZY!!!
The "health" bar should be a stamina bar for both people. Once that runs out then that person is open to a killing blow. It will replenish half way, but if it gets drained again then it will be cut in half again giving you a 1/4 of it and so and so forth.
they should make star wars games where you can kill bosses in like 3 strikes using a lightsaber, but the real challenge is landing those hits. constant dodging, blocking and counterattacks.
Vader had to modify his style, as his suit and implants caused him constant and unending pain an discomfort. He had to form a lightsaber fighting style from scratch with little more than holocrons and training droids.
@irisheyes317 It was Palpatine's orders that he be rebuilt using inferior tech and materials, he wanted Vader to use his pain as a reminder and focus to hone his dark side powers and keep him strong in the dark side.
There was an old game I played as Darth Vader killing Wookies on Kashik.I was able to hurl my lightsaber like a boomerang and even fought some little known Jedi. This was over 10 years ago.
0:29 there’s just something so weird about Darth Vader holding Cal Kestis’s lightsaber while using Kylo Ren’s voice to tell Merrin that his name is Cal Kestis as Darth Maul watches ominously in the background
These lines... this isn't Darth Vader; this is Anakin if he had survived the defeat of the Empire... this is the redeemed Skywalker, going out to make things right; so many things that he had made wrong, now he is fighting to make them right! This whole sequence is a glimpse into what it would have looked like, if, Anakin had survived and become a Jedi once more!
