My mother was 6 years older than my father, they got married in 1968 , she was 35 years old ! ( In Greece, it plays a huge role !!! ) They had a wonderful relationship and marriage !!! As long as children, she gave birth to my brother in 1972 and to me in1975 when she was 43 years old !!!

I've met someone 10.5 years younger than myself, but we have so much in common, same values, beliefs, have had similar experiences and we have a strong mental and spiritual connection and no we haven't slept together yet. It's very easy to talk with him and be myself. Never thought this would happen, had given up on dating but this is wonderful so I'm moving forward to see where it goes.

I'm 44. I always preferred older guys. I met someone in person at a public event. We hit it off. He's 9 years younger. So far, he's the most mature and respectful man I've ever dated. He's the best at eye contact. He's the most consistent, reliable, dependable, hard working, and the best communicator I've ever dated. He's both very intelligent and has a fantastic sense of humor. There is a terrible stigma about a woman who dates younger men like people regarding her as if she is some kind of terrible person, almost like a pedophile, even though the man is an adult and even if HE is the one who INITIATED and PURSUED the relationship. Also a younger mans family, friends, and especially his mother can come down on the woman acting like she is some lecherous person preying on younger men only for sex… a typical unfair stereotype. The woman may regard the man as a soulmate not a sex target. And there are a lot of struggles that can come up such as the fact that the guys friends may not be able to relate to his older woman and he may be subject to many jokes and disrespectful attitudes from people in his life that may be important to him. no matter how much genuine LOVE is there, there are just too many struggles digestives that the couple is up against preventing them from growing together and enjoying life together. A hopeful reality is the example of President Immanuel Macron of France who is married to his prior teacher and she is 30 years older than him. He would never trade her for anyone else and they have been together for decades. They are a beautiful couple whose love has endured all of these stigmas and stereotypes and hurtful attitudes from others, and managed to continue to cherish each other all these years regardless of any barriers. They are intellectual soul mates and she is the only woman he has ever loved according to him. I love their love story and the fact that they let nothing and no one stand between them.

Age doesn't dictate maturity men I have met in 60's and seventies acting like their 18 and I've met men in late 40s or mid to late 50's who had a maturity of much older. You can be young once but imnature forever.

I used to be so hung up on age but honestly as time passes the less I care . Just cause someone’s older doesn’t make them more credible to be your spouse . Amen on the age difference. I was talking to a guy in his early 50s, and he definitely had the mindset of a 18 year old boy. VERY SAD 😔 I have also encountered a man in his late 30s, and he had more maturity than the 50 year old. Age is definitely a mindset and spiritual.

I’m 50 soon to be 51 and was approached by a 35year old. I saw him watching me from a distance. In my head I was thinking… you better not even try me. He came over and was the perfect gentleman. Some men just don't care, like stephan said, don't shoot yourself in the foot, as long as the guy wants and is looking for a serious relationship , as long as you have common goals, a male therapist told me, if you are both older than 25, your age doesn't matter !

I have been seeing this topic so much lately but the comments from men have been that older women are delusional to think younger men want anything serious with us older women. And it’s sad because I am turning 47 June 3rd, I don’t look my age, and I don’t “act” as they would expect. So I attract guys 30-35 somehow. I had a guy on this topic tell me how ridiculous I was because these guys are close to my children’s ages..even though he didn’t know me, he assumed. And also goes on to say, he’s trying to warn us “delusional women” from getting cheated on. That younger men just want to take advantage of older women in some way shape or form and do not see marriage or commitment. I don’t have a problem with dating a younger man. The issue I have ran into is those who still want children. My oldest is 26 ..youngest 16. I appreciate you sir for giving a mature perspective on this matter. Giving hope to those who do find themselves in these sorts of connections

This is one of my favourite if not the favourite video you made. The first time I fell for a younger guy (and ever since) I've realized I had much more in common with mature or somewhat mature men in younger generations (up to 8 years for me) than men my age or older. My generation and older are way too cynical on average and less willing to be themselves. There are many other things that just don't work for me. Ofc, there are always exceptions, but even when I compare the exceptions I've met/been with, younger men seem to work better for me. And around, you just hear most women saying "he's too young, he's immature." I've met men who were more mature at 20 than lots of others at 30-40. And vice-versa ofc.

If God is in that relationship, it will work. If not, it won't. They also need to be on the same page and connect. I dated some very young and it wasn't good! So this video gave me an insight that age doesn't define a mens personality. Definitely need someone to be in the same page as me.

I don’t naturally try to meet younger men but I’m 36 and look about 26. Lately, I’ve met men who are around 30 and it’s been okay. They are fun to date but not really established as I am or ready for anything serious.

@kimsugars1898 You are right about the not looking your age part. You do look like you are definitely 40 at a minimum based on your picture, but I would say that anything above that would be a guess if people didn't know what you just told us. I have been told that I look younger too. I am 41.

I listened while crying ….the guilt, shame and burden of what will society say has been hell for me now that I have a relationship where my partner is younger . I didnt look for it we found each other and the connection has been absolutely so different from my first boyfriend and my husband all same age . All conflict aside the connection has communication and eloquent to top it off . I dated a man and ended things recently because I ended up doing a lot of the initiating communication and meeting up. He is very sweet, a gentleman, and I enjoyed my time with him. I just don’t chase men which is a boundaries of mines. He said in couple occasions that he should text more but his actions weren’t matching up with his words. He wasn’t much younger maybe by two years

I just met a 29year old man soon 30 lol and I literally turned 40 and we are in the dating stages and I'm loving the fact that we are just so naturally connected we're learning more about each other even with me have two kids and him non he is understanding and considers me time. He works 7 days a week and he still makes time for me. We are both in our grown and inner child selves. Conversation are good self awareness is good and it can only get better. And he is emotionally mature, aware, available and its great.

I wanted to weigh in on this discussion. I'm 69 years old, and in the past 27 years of not dating, I've had many men in their 50's express interest in me. When I tell them my age.They are often surprised but undeterred. These men seem to be looking for a mother figure rather than the genuine romantic partner. Personally, I don't believe in dating men that much younger than myself. It's important to understand the dynamic of what both parties are seeking in this relationship. I much prefer younger men. Just watch for red flags like him wanting a mommy, a therapist, or a sugar mama. I don't feel or act my age so I look for someone thats my mental partner. Often times men my age are looking for a "wife" or caretaker. I'm done with that. I want a man who still has some life in him, thank you very much.

He does understand his role in marriage, and knows I don’t do 50/50. This is something that we will discuss further when the time comes. Because he is 22, I’m not going to milk him dry for money because I’m not like that. We’re dating, not married lol

This has been the best advice!! Thank you Stephan for all of your tips..especially true that age does not dictate maturity!! Always be open to any possibility & don't put restrictions on yourself because of what society considers appropriate...i have recently learned this myself from having multiple 'date fails' with guys around my 46yrs. Majority of my exes were younger as i do look & act very young at heart & just met someone 20yrs younger who has way more maturity & knows how to communicate far better than guys in their 40's. The last guy I dated was 31 going on 32 by time we went out on 1st date. He finally during the date respectfully asked if he could guess my age. He guessed 45 and I said GOOD GUESS😅 However I have been TOLD by my GROWN Men...MA stay OFF tha PLAYGROUND! 😂🤣🤩
