At 34, I met the woman, then just turned 48, who would become the love of my life and my wife- we've been together more than 30 years now and will be to the end. She was quite beautiful, intelligent, and vivacious (the opposite of me, so opposites do attract😊), so much so that guys in their 20s were always hitting on her. She had been married before and told me she was looking for someone real, of substance, rather than just surface attributes. From my late teens onward, I was always sexually, romantically, and emotionally attracted to women ten or more years my senior. Why? Also from my late teens onward I was always described as mature and serious (for my age). But perhaps along with the sexual aspect it was the emotional stability and maturity such women offered, as opposed to the game playing idiocy of girls/women my age with pretty faces but not much going on behind them. Plus, it didn't hurt that she didn't have kids, and I never had wanted any. I'm 65 now, she's 79, and as beautiful to me as ever.
My husband was 22 and I was 43 when we met through a mutual friend. We just celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary. We work well together and we have a lot in common from hobbies to values. He still loves me with all of my wrinkles, white hair, teeth gone and all of my medical problems. I still treat him like a king and I put his needs first and he is good to me and treats me like a queen and he has been there for me every time I have been hospitalized and near death. We're each others hearts.
I'm 53. My current man is 31. The last one was 65 and the one before that was 36. They are people and none of us are perfect. Date who you want, be respectful and honest and see where things go
I agree, people can be so judgmental of age gap relationships.. I've been on both sides of the age gap relationship, and I've gotta say, from my own experience, the younger guy's far more thoughtful and kind. If someone makes you happy and you bring each other joy, go for it!

@@annmurray3582 Whatever you and your partner are comfortable with. It really depends on the person you're entertaining as well. There are mature men 20 years younger and immature men who are older. I'm 50 and attract men in their 30s.

@cathylam344 Not all relationships last a lifetime. Sone people enter our lives for just a season. Just focus on the lessons you have to teach each other. Lessons that enlighten you to be your best version of yourselves. It could be an awesome experience if you can accept that one day it will be time for him to find someone he can have a family with.

Congrats. There is a huge difference between chasing younger people like many older guys keep doing, and just happen to connect with a younger person and experience mutual attraction based on actual chemistry, not just looks.
Just ended relationship with someone 10 years younger. My advice: vet out exactly what they want up front (kids etc). 10 years can be a big difference depending on the seasons in life you’re in. Dating a 30 year old I learned he was still unsure exactly what he wanted and I am not willing to have more kids at my age. Unfortunately this conversation materialized after feelings etc were hurt in ending the relationship. There is some immaturity present; communication skills and experience may not be on the same level. Have patience, curiosity, open & kind communication, and have fun.
Yeah i knew from the beginning i need to be honest and direct about who i am and what i want if i want our relationship to work. Not only to her but myself as well. My gf is 38 and i am 27. I told her i want marriage and after i understood myself on kids i told her i want them, but i do not want children if she is not the mother. Her love is more important to me. So i told her that if God decides to bless us with children that will be amazing, but if He doesn't then that just means i will have more time to adore her instead. I am sorry you decided you didn't want children, it could have been a beautiful thing between you two i am sure. People should get married and have babies if they love eachother, it's a wonderful thing.
@@chumbucket6184 it’s not for everyone and each unique situation. I have been a single parent for 14 years and have a child who is almost out of the house. It wasn’t a match, sometimes the mature thing to do is let people go so they can align with someone else with shared life goals.

@@onfourtris3301 I wouldn't do it, because in my country, that's not even old enough to drink alcohol and buy it, so if we can't go out because of legal reasons like that, that's my cue to back off and keep physical attraction in check.
When i was younger i dealt many times with younger men , but it never turned out very well . Now that i am older and very mature no baggage and i do not allow my emotions to control me anymore . I get approached a lot by younger man over 10 years younger ,there is no way i would even consider to get involved . I also found even older men are still lacking maturity and maybe forgot how to court a Lady .
I've loved older women from a young age. Ever since i lost my virginity to a older woman I just got addicted to older women. I try dating a guy same age as me. It didn’t work out. I was only attracted to the idea of same age. I’m 34 and started dating a guy 24. I don’t look my age, I look he’s age. I click and hit it off so much more with the 24 then my Ex same age. Plus I’m more attractive to him then I was to the guy same age as me. Younger guys reach relationships status faster then female at that age I think. I didn’t mature until I got to my late 20s to my 30s. Im content with myself and love myself now. Which show younger guys that they are happy and don’t want drama. And know what they want in life. Compare to younger women who are indecisive about their life. So younger men prefer older women in that sense. And draw to more older and mature women.
Seriously when I hear that a man is still discovering who he is … all I see is “struggle love”, a puppy or a GINORMOUS annoying project of a person… and it’s a major turn off for me personally… I don’t have the patience for someone whose still growing up.
It shocked me how men even 30 years younger than me, wanted to date. Finally not finding what I want in men my age, I gave it a go with a guy 11 years younger than me. It's been great. I just turned 51, and hes a newer 40. We've been together 16 months now and we're discussing moving in together and marriage. I do have to say though, he's about as young as I would go dating. Anymore than 10ish years, I probably wouldn't go there.
I am amazed by this too at 53, I never thought I would level well with much younger but damn, it is so much better and I have to say that the younger generation (if aware spiritually) are way faster at learning things i only learned in the past 10 years, there seeems to be an acceleration in learning at deeper level with this new generation, if they don't fall in the wokeness trap, I would stay far far away from that

I love that he has such an open mind and he is so intelligent and self-aware. He just seems to have an emotional intelligence that men my age don't have. He is much more aware of misogyny and actively seeks to be an equal partner and on my playing field and it's really nice not to be taken for granted and have to raise a man.

I'm 41 and he's 37 😢 I know its not a big age gap but I was still struggling with it before. Now I realize and feel we fit so well together. He feels like a protector and I can't help but fall for him. I LOVE taking care of him. He works a very stressful career so I give him deep tissue massages and cook him wholesome dinners.
I have always preferred younger men over older men. I'm now 82 but still extremely active and don't look or act my age. 2 of my 3 husbands were younger than me. I feel if the age gap is >10 years, the older women need to deal with a lot more immaturity from the younger men (even when neither side is crazy about playing mind games).
I'm 70 and everyone swears I look 50. But it's hereditary. My Daddy died at 97 and looked 70. My Fiancee is 50 and we are very equally matched. I have years of successful career in corporate America and am retired . He barely graduated from high school and is a country boy. But right now I live in the country on family land and I need someone active and strong. I'm still interested in sex and most men I meet my age are impotent. And younger women aren't into it after children. So it's a wonderful combination. And oddly I believe in the Christian model for marriage and I live to submit to him and he just melts. 49 here. My longest relationships have been with guys around 7-8 years younger. I’ve since realised it’s because I’m still childish in my outlook in life and my interests are also things associated with people decades younger such as gaming, manga and anime. Ive dated guys my age and a bit older when I was younger but as I grew older I found them more and more boring and thus less attractive. Plus the guys I know seem to just give up on their appearance and health after they hit 40, seemingly proud of their beer bellies and moobs. As an ex personal trainer it drives me crazy because this is when you need to start taking care of your diet and activity levels the most.

I don’t wanna show him anything and lead. I want him to lead. I don’t wanna be his momma. I want an alpha. I don’t want anyone that still needs to “grow” rather than someone who’s established. I don’t want anyone who doesn’t have kids already or still wants them or may change his mind in the future . It can work but you’re better off not having a big gap. The only good thing about younger men is they’re definitely more attractive.
If that's all you see in a younger man, then you're around wrong men in general, or you need to work on yourself to not have these generalized views. I've met more men younger that have more goals and take charge than many single older men. You can just have a man take charge all the time, though, that's why you're partners.

Sometimes it's not a happy story. Why because you're finishing raising a younger guy as if he was your son. Also I've seen cases where all of a sudden they want kids and because of your age you can't give them one and they end up leaving you. So you have to be very careful about this because it can be a two edge swore and you wind up getting hurt.

Not all older single women are confident. Alot have had their self esteem broken by men. In reality they just get used by younger men for sex until the man moves on to a younger model.
