SORRY ABOUT THE COCKPIT AUDIO!
My first Solo in a new type - the mighty Cessna 206 Stationair.
Now that Daphne has shown up, we are a family of 5.
So, a new milestone for me: A solo flight in a Cessna 206 after a few hours of dual instruction. I needed to be prepared to take them all flying together the next day.
The flight was from the home base of the 206, half an hour north to check out the location I wanted to fly my whole family the next day. What were the docking options?
I also wanted to have a decent amount of time alone in the plane to get comfortable being PIC. Whenever I have an instructor or more experienced pilot next to me, it's never the same.
At my final destination, my other half Annemarie was waiting for me with a camera to film my first solo landing. The conditions were near perfect and stunningly beautiful.
The last few minutes of the video are really special to me.
