Chappelle is easily one of the funniest dudes of our generation. Close second would have to be Bill Burr. Thats not to besmirch Carlin, or Pryor. And I almost pissed myself at Red Foxx's "You got to wash yo' ass" bit.
I feel like the fact that Dave does the voices for every story so well is under appreciated. Why didn't he ever get a cartoon show! I'd watch the hell out of it!!
I read this comment before I got to that bit and I still didn’t expect it. I was imagining a different scenario HAHA so it caught me off guard. Hilarious 😆
@@deepulse9752 Dave is impersonating an African man, by using a stereotypical African man voice. So when he reveals the punchline and tells us it was a Chinese man talking the whole time, we are thrown off bc we assumed it was an African man 😂 make sense??? The whole joke is a chinese man talking in a stereotypical African man voice.
Dave doesn’t get enough credit for his actual physical comedy. The way he can create multiple characters that feel different from each other with just his voice and his face.
Too funny ... the man is a genius .. and tells it like it is .. and in the process educates us and also entertains us ... Thank you Dave for being real ...
He is brilliant and so chilled. Love how no one and nothing is off the cards with him. Humans should be able to laugh at ourselves, Dave is the best tonic. Laughter is the best medicine!!
Dave is one of the funniest humans ever. He talks shit about every race, religion, he doesn’t give a fuck and it’s hilarious. People are way too uptight these days. Chill tf out and quit getting offended about every damn thing.
I think he's not that funny nowadays. Maybe it's just the times we live in, like I'm so fucking disinterested in todays culture, but I don't much like his Netflix stuff. This stuff was golden though.
I have yet to watch a Dave Chappelle video and not end up laughing out loud. Even when he was talking about Getting screwed over by the network and how he was able to exact revenge. It's sad that they chose to try to take advantage of him, as he could still be making them money...through it all, he was able to look above it and make lemonade and turn that episode of his life into a laughable experience. When I think of the great comedians and it's a pretty small group, maybe a dozen or so, I'm talking 'bout the creme de La creme, Dave is right there, floatin at the top, in that group of the best ever. Thanks Dave, U R the man!
I always thought being a stand up comedian needs extraordinary intelligence, and eye for detail and the ability to dilute the most complex of subjects down to such a level that it not only makes people think, it makes them laugh. In that regard, Dave is on another level.
Dave Is truly one of the most genuine, caring, considerate people I ever had the honor of meeting. Definitely made the time pass while waiting for our flight together.
bro I was dying at how he was pretending the mic was a drumstick and the little chomp sounds😂😂😂 man I hope I get to see Dave Chappelle live in action one day. One of my biggest goals I swear
Underrated by whom? I've never met a comedy fan who didn't highly regard this special. A massive portion of this special has become part of the culture itself.
How is Chappelles stuff underrated? If you watch proper stand ups like Dylan Moran, youll realise how overrated this guy actually is. Fans are biased. I get that. So if I tell you this guy aint even that funny, you cant handle it. But ask yourself this question: if he was so good...then how come he feels the need to play the race card so much?? That (and sex jokes) is what shit acts do to try and get tension and pre-installed laughs. Yet you think this is one the the 'greatest comedians of all time'. Thats very far from underrated.
As far as I’m concerned Dave Chappelle has emerged As the absolute superior and unmatched comedian of our times. He is a genius. He’s paid his dues, quit at the height of his initial success and seemingly disappeared into obscurity …. Only to return stronger, better, funnier And sharper than ever. 8;46 alone is a masterpiece. In my opinion he’s the worthy and undisputed successor to Richard and Eddie.
Oh u mean the big strong future version of dave that is oddly kinda handsome ... he was Madd skinny and then went to Africa disappeared for like 10 years came back huge sounding different and not at all the version he was like on chapelle show but still funny in a different way tho ...I really respect that about dave he grew up in more ways than one ...
I work in q restaurant and thus is true when I'm running food and there's a 1 salad, 1 burger, 1 guy, and 1 girl 99% of the fucking time I swear to God the girl got the salad and the guy got the burger. It happens so fucking much everyone knows that pattern.
@@Lexor888 - You need greens and vegetables in your diet. I'm not sure it's healthy to consume only meat. And besides, I can't afford to eat only sirloin steaks.
@@donmiller2908 who the fuck goes outside to eat a fucking salad. I can have a salad at home. Why the FUCK would I drive to a restaurant to PAY SOMEONE TO GIVE ME A SALAD
He is definitely in a class by himself with his characterization and observation coupled with simple analysis of a preposterous situation about being hijacked. He connects it with is theories of racism made funny through his insight about the disparity of good things that happen from racism He explains a dangerous situation where racism,, which would normally disproportionately disadvantages blacks, was advantages to him and another brother in this hijacking senario.
The genius behind this first part (imo) is that he criticizes sterotypes/racism but makes a joke about fullfilling that one harmless stereotype. The meaning imo dont take it all too serious.
You sound like you are sensitive by the way you complaining about other people not finding the jokes funny or appropriate. So by your logic you are also an issue.
Dave chappelle Thank you for all the joy you bring to an otherwise joyless existence. We all love and support you. You are our black Jesus. Saving us from ourselves 😀
It's funny how race dictates food preference. I'm Native American and I love deer, elk, moose, grouse, squirrel etc. Beef, chicken and pork make me violently ill.
This can also be seen is through the lens of a different shade, wherein the dastardly beratment and false flags fiinially come to fruition... an epiphany triggered by a highly reflective surface, yielding to a true view of self.
I actually had a moment like this when Black Panther was big and people were saying shit like "Killmonger is a misunderstood hero". Like... no. He wasn't.
