I’m 100% behind this deal not only for Oakland for the whole bay area with a beautiful vision

It's sad that one vote is down but in what 5 days a decision could be made to torpedo the whole deal if a vote is called for on the project. Some of the public comments show how unaware some of the public is and some of the wild un-true comments can feed the hate mongers.

Ok, we know affordable housing means soon to be "ghetto," and are they saying this is happening right next to the ballpark? How is that improving Oakland, the family ballpark experience, and the safety around the stadium?

Odd that this franchise has been so un-embraced over its existence. It’s one of the most accomplished franchises in MLB history. It seems deserving of a large following like the Cardinals, the Giants, the Red Sox & some of the other oldtime franchises they began with

I like how so many people say we need the A’s to stay. This will be a big mistake if they leave. However, less people attend A’s games than movie theaters. Not everyone likes baseball. Some people would rather their time, money, and energy go elsewhere. They might hope a private business well develop in Oakland that will provide full time well paying jobs with benefits. This is no different than the Walmart that opened and provided plenty of low paying jobs only to leave to San Leandro to pay people there even less. The A’s are not a good partner they don’t invest in their company, they collect luxury taxes from other businesses in their organization that do invest. They treat the highest performers (the players) terribly by paying them the least they have to and then trading them to the place that is most beneficial to them. Imagine how they treat their other employees. This is an organization that does not deserve anyone’s support. This is why Vegas, Portland, Memphis, and Montreal are out. No one wants this team. Oakland is a great city and they deserve great things, but they deserve much better than John Fisher. I hope Dave Kaval gets a job with a great organization one day.
