@TheHxholden He's South African - he probably lost the accent when he moved back here again after high school. So the accent probably returned naturally when he was in UK.
I love all of these bands and have seen dmb over 25 times but I must say that at this point I think dave is playing for the monetary benefits and not the sentimental ones.

i honestly have to agree with everything he said and im american and i feel the same way about all the stuff he said, screw manufactured bands, we need more real musicians like DMB, PHISH, GOVT MULE, MOE. they are whats great about music, purely playing it for the love of it

If you're familiar with Dave you now he's more of a "life's about the journey" kind of guy then about achievements/success to begin with... not an idiot. Any successful artist knows that the most enjoyable part is growth or the "struggle" which leads to the success, rather then after it's achieved, that's all he was saying.
sgim43 I 100% agree man. Although i did say "Dave is an idiot", I didn't mean it in any negative way. He frequently has great interviews that end with an awkward statement, that can be taken wrong. I love the guy and his music forever.

I like dave on stage and that's about it. I don't think he knows much about what he's talking about much of the time especially when it's about politics. I agree with what he said about the grammy's

I love Dave but to suggest that God doesnt exist makes me extremely heartbroken for him. Ask all those who have had a near death experience with God if He exists. Just sad for Dave that he thinks we are alone.
Soldier For Christ To be honest, I think he does believe in God. I just get the sense that he thinks that God isn't interested in us or care about us and maybe he has been through things or observed the human condition to come to that conclusion.
yea, whatever you say..Dave Matthews was a one hit wonder with "Crash"...Phillip Phillips will stand the test of time. Real music always does. Dave doesnt even play an instrument like PP, the Black guy with the dreads plays the guitar for him.
arond24 LoL. I was forced to go see PP once. I can’t remember what he was doing, repeatedly throughout the show. But I caught on to it and would laugh each time because he just looked like a doucher. And so towards the end of the show, half the crowd has started filing out. He sees me laughing at him, twice. But he was a good sport about it. He laughed as well. Wish I remembers what it was. However, I came away actually pretty impressed by his show. Well, beat expectations at least
Errr... Dave Matthews received the Orville Gibson Award for best acoustic guitarist in 2002. So yeah, he does not just play, he's pretty fuckin' good at it. Most of the top end musos you can stick behind a bass, guitar, drums... they usually can play it all to some extent. Dave Mathews is better than most.
