Mustaine has always been one of my favorite all-purpose metal guitarists. He can do it all. His lead and his rhythm playing are both solid. I read a couple instructional articles written by him in a guitar magazine and he's also quite good at explaining what he does on the guitar and how he does it. He breaks it down in an easy to understand manner. He would make for a good guitar teacher.

One of the best concerts I have ever seen in my life. Megadeth with Marty and Nick. Blew me away and they played like 2 and a half hours in Dallas at the Starplex. I think now it's the Smirnoff venue. The name changed so many times either way. Blew me away especially when Dave and Marty did their guitar solos.

I would rather see Dave with the Jacksons he used to play back in the day...

Every time I watch a Dave Mustaine video where he's talking about guitars and how he does things, he's like a teacher. He has really great tips and "nuggets" of information about guitar work.

Dave is getting old :( Well at least he can still play. His voice is going (practically gone compared to the 90's now), but what do you expect from the guy who did every drug in the fucking world.

It's fun to think about what Metallica would sound like with Mustaine, and who's the better songwriter/riff maker. Now that Mustaine and Hetfield are sober, Metallica and Megadeath should put out some decent music in the future. Their music while they were on drugs was pretty good too haha. There's not enough room for those two egos on one stage much less a record. Great music.

he said something that all aspiring guitar players should know, he liked a certain style because it was challenging. I play, but I hate being challenged (playing difficult stuff), therefore I am limited to how good it am. I was a professional singer for many years and I loved challenging songs, so I got better and better. The point is, if you want to be great something, you have to want to be challenged. If you don't want to be bothered with difficult stuff, you will be limited.

One thing I've learned and thought about lately in life (especially with the advent of RU-vid) is this: The more you start sniffing around in the gossip of your childhood heroes, the more you become bitter and disillusioned, and then you start slinging mud at others who you ought to get along with. I think the whole Dave vs. James (aka Megadeth vs. Metallica) trope on RU-vid videos is proof of this. I've learned to just accept that these guys are just guys. They happen to make great music that we all love, but of course in all the times they've been interviewed and all the crap they've been through in their life, they are bound to say and do some really cuntish shit for which it's easy to judge them and say "this guy's a prick". But can you imagine if half of your entire life were caught on video and broadcast to the public? I know I've done and said a LOT of shit I'm not proud of. Does this make me a douche? Maybe. But I would hope that people would give me the benefit of the doubt and judge me by my finer qualities. Yeah Dave has said a lot of dickish things. So has James. So has Ozzy. So has Mother Teresa and probably even Ghandi. We're all human. Stop judging others, and just appreciate what they contribute. The story of Megadeth is pretty inspirational when you look at it with a positive light, and they make incredible albums. Same goes for Metallica, even though I like them less. Just enjoy the music, and as Monty Python says, "Always look on the bright side of life" and then whistle. Lol.

Dave Mustaine is My 3rd favourite guitarists of all time he's so awesome when I saw Megadeth in concert Dave Mustaines Guitar Playing and vocals were so awesome that I was so blown away by it it was so incredibly amazing Megadeth is just as good as Metallica I mean Metallica and Megadeth are both my main musical influences of my life they both rule
