I'm glad Dave has found peace and buried his demon's (drugs, alcohol, witchcraft,). He also beat cancer and will go down as a metal legend. As a fellow Christian and someone who also had a battle with cancer, I can certainly relate to what Dave is saying. I wish him all the best, and one last thing. Dystopia is perhaps the best metal album since Rust in peace. 🇨🇦

I respect Dave because he has his values and sticks to them. He has every right to not perform with bands he doesn't want to and he also has every right to not perform songs he doesn't want to. He doesn't play The Conjuring or Good Mourning/Black Friday anymore because of his current beliefs and that's fine with me, he wrote those songs doped up out of his mind and people change as they get older. There's nothing wrong with wanting to move away from some of your own music and others'.

The bands don't worry me...it's the fans that worry me. It's entertainment there to be enjoyed. Not to be worshipped. I try not to get wrapped up in a message and just enjoy the sound.

Dave. Megadeth. I have been a fan for many years, before and after Dave's awakening. I love his story about sitting on the hill after being up all night and sees the cross on a church in the distance. He walks to it and has a conversation with the minister. Many good interviews with Dave. Dave has overcome a horrendous back injury and surgery, and messed up his arm.

Good for him.. he's lucky he's big enough to make such decisions and survive. Most bands couldn't do that without sacrificing their career, but I respect that he's making those choices. More Christians aren't brave enough, or they're hateful about it. Anyway respect Dave

Although I'm not a believer (in any deities -- whether perceived to be "good" or "evil"), I can respect Dave for standing by his principles with regard to establishing whom he's comfortable with and not comfortable with being associated with in terms of other bands or artists he and his band are billed to play with when on tour. An artist should have the latitude to declare whom they like being billed with and whom they don't for whatever reason that they have.

I am glad to see someone who woke up and acknowledges the truth. Dave is an awesome guy and a kick ass rocker!

I got to meet Dave Mustaine years ago and he is the real deal. Don’t judge the man until you’ve sat and had a real conversation with him.

I'm just glad to see some of my metal heroes have turned to Jesus Christ. Dave and Blackie Lawless and a few others. So many of us came from the occult, like myself, and have later in life found a faith we never expected to have.

It hurts a little to know my two favourite bands won't ever play together, but I knew about mustaines opinion before and I actually thought about what he'd most likely say if he was asked this. Oh well I still love GHOST and MEGADETH, both beautiful bands.

Dissection was one of the most influential bands that inspired many same as megadeth did- too bad Dave couldnt see past that and appreciate the genius in Dissection's sound.

I like music that gives some small measure of hope and wisdom. It takes a lot more effort to write songs with a good or encouraging lyric than focusing on negatives and complaining.

I'm a huge fan of Dave. I've been a fan for years. I find it unfortunate Dave had to exchange addiction to drugs for addiction to religion. Tobias Forge says explicitly that he (and by extension the band) are playing characters and are NOT Satanists. I wonder what Dave's reaction is to them and would he play on a bill with them? Having said that I'm happy he survived and is still around and seemingly happy.

Dave has the courage of his convictions and is willing to put it out there. It’s not easy to be a Christian and perform metal. But he will be remembered in his flawed but beautiful ways for trying to be himself and do the right thing. He is not alone.

There is no comparison. Dissection was on a level megadeth could never reach with music meaning and pure emotion and understanding of a hostage soul. The music is very spirited as blackmetal should be. Rebirth of Dissection is a must see for anyone interested in a very great performance. Rip. Jon

Lol I love ghost. Everybody has their own opinions. But I also love dave as a musician. I listen to alot of music. Black metal,thrash metal,grunge,punk, just anything that makes me feel good or helps me get through the day. It's obvious that people won't like some music and there will be people who love it. But don't shit on people for liking something that makes them happy. I love ghost and nobody will make me change that by saying rude things about my favorite band. Ghost has gotten me through alot. When I first heard ghost I was in foster care and on drugs pretty bad. Ghost helped me alot. It was a coping mechanism for me. 🤘 Hope you guys find a band that makes you guys happy. Ghost is my happy place lol 🤘

I can understand totally man, because I'm trying to avoid confessed Satanism too, for as it is not worthy of your life, because worshiping a false god is pathetic, as for bowing down and serving a Defeated Foe, like exactly like what Black and some Death Metal bands do, because of the strong and dark negativity it has in their lives, but sometimes, we can all listen to a little dark music when we are extremely angry and furious just like what Dave said, but yeah I totally see Daves point on taking the message of Satanism Waaayyy toooo seriously, like what Glen Benton from Deicide does. I don't take Satanic music seriously, as for the false message it gives people, because you know in your heart Satanism is scum, and that's the Lord's presence telling you it's wrong, and not to bow down to him, for it makes God so sad and that God is having to see soul after soul being tortured for the rest of eternity, because they didn't serve God by choosing Satan's temptation. I personally feel as if Dave is doing something great and especially when one day, God will judge us, and we all mostly just want to bring love and salvation to the people. Dave Mustain's beliefs are great, and I know we all believe in different things, but just remember, there is only one God, and only one God, remember that, and you know deep down in your heart that serving a Defeated Foe of God's creation, is wrong, and I believe if you get right with the Lord and God and serve both of them by giving love to your people and hold him in your thoughts and in your heart!! Satan chose to hate and Rebel against his own father, and that's where Jesus only tried to convince everyone by telling them how God works, but still people accused him of Blasphemy, by calling him a Deceiver of God and Deceiving all the people in Israel and Jerusalem, when he only tried to prove he was the son of God, by revealing himself in a Humans image. Always remember, when you know something is wrong, I know that's the spirit of God telling you in your heart, don't do it, and also the temptation in you, saying do it. God loves you, as for Satan doesn't!!!

About the thing with Dissection, I think Dave is a great person for not kicking them out of the festival but just refusing to play with them. I personally find that a very mature thing to do despite other people's comments on Dave being an asshole and all that shit. I also am a huge dissection and megadeth fan and I respect both bands. Also, I don't think megadeth and dissection go togheter that well onstage, even though they are both unique in their own ways, they are different genres of metal. Disssction was my first black metal encounter at the age of 13. Jon nodveidt is a insanely underrated musician but wasn’t a good person. Dave Mustaine is an awesome dude. I love his ethic and humility. I know he's taken some hard knocks along the road, but hard lessons are well learned. They stay with us longer.

Dave is very involved in a dimension of life that not many people take seriously because you can't see it from where we are. He's gracious about explaining it. But I wouldn't take his efforts on. It isn't appreciated by the ignorant who can't have their eyes suddenly open anyway.
