Speaking of repeating things (this is just something I noticed and thought was interesting - I don't hate Megadeth because of it) Listen to the starting vocals in "Deadly Nightshade" - it has the same melody as that in Iron Butterfly's "In A Gadda La Vida." Again, Megadeth rules - I'm just saying.
Big band jazz was an influence on metal . Hard bop too . Ian Paice and Bill ward didnt sound like Rock n roll guys . They were inspired by buddy rich , louie bellson , Krupa , max roach , sam woodyard .. Geezer butler doesnt sound like Rock n roll Bassist . Its not rock . Its heavy yes , but but still jazz
