One of the greatest ball players I've ever seen and I'm a White Sox fan...! Nobody had a better arm in right field than Dave Parker in his prime, nobody...! Loved this guy and loved his swagger on the field, he could PLAY....! One of my all time favorite ball players #39 "THE COBRA" ...!
I would like to see the Pirates be relevant again, they didn’t get much out of their last wave of being good. Their franchise has a great history though.
Growing up a Tigers fan my Favorite team besides my Tigers is the 79 Pittsburgh Pirates. Every time i here Sister Sledge WE ARE FAMILY i think of the 79 Pirates. Brings back great memories of that kid being 10yrs old and watching the Bucs down 3-1to come back and win it all!!!! I can't believe he's not in the HOF that's disrespect!
Despite it all he’s blessed… he and his teammates who are still here. Some are not. Hope he makes the Hall while he’s still here. Deserves to be in. I’m a Yankee fan but loved the Pirates in 1979. The man could play period.
