We love you so much David!❤️ I watched your video from January 22 on another channel last night. I’m so thankful for you sharing your thoughts and feelings with us. I’m also thankful for the other person that shared your video.💞 My 14 year old son just came out as bi. He’s been suicidal because of the other teens bullying him, and calling him all kinds of nasty names. He’s having such a difficult time with church now too. He feels like God doesn’t love him. It breaks my heart so much. I keep telling him that Heavenly Father will always love him unconditionally. There’s a lot more to what he’s going through, but I won’t talk more about it on here. Just to let you know, we adopted our sweet son, and one of his biological sisters, from foster care. He’s had to deal with hateful comments about that too. We love him as if he were our own flesh and blood. The day that we met him as a three month old, and the day that we finally brought him home (it was an out of state adoption) at the age of nine months…those were two of the happiest moments of my life. To see him, and listen to him tell me about his feelings…it breaks my heart that I can’t just take away all of the pain and shame from him. I’ve wanted to write to you for some time. Our family has loved you so much. My husband and I watched you on American Idol when you were just a sweet 16 year old. We’ve taken our family to as many of your concerts as possible. We’ve gone to concerts in Utah. Each time that we have gone to your concerts, you brought us so much joy. We’re from Las Vegas, NV. You actually met my son in 2010 when he was only two years old. We met you at the Desert Book across from the SLC Temple. You were so kind to talk to us, for about 10 minutes. You even asked my son how old he was…and he proudly showed you his age with his sweet, little hand and fingers.❤️ That was such a sweet moment, and I will never forget it. Thank you for being so kind to take the time to talk with our little family. It meant so much to us. You are here for a reason, and you are touching lives in ways that you may never know. Your music has helped us during so many hard times. If it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t have had the comfort we received through your music. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us here. Tell your story. I know that it will help so many lives. Thank you for being you. Thank you for being a wonderful church member. You’ve always been such an incredible example of our faith. I know that the Lord will always love you, and all that you’ve done to help so many people. You’re such a beautiful Spirit. Don’t ever change, or lose your faith.
