He is joined by United States Marine Corps, 6th Communications Battalion, Brooklyn NY. The pianist is Rick Hip-Flores, and the artistic director was Ray Roderick.

I was at the Rockford VIP and David is, hands down, the very best singer I have ever heard in my entire life. Everyone else pales by comparison.....sheer perfection.

David NEVER disappoints! What a voice! What spirit! Ahhhhhh - he just makes you glad to be an American, doesn't he? I just love how he puts his own spin on the song, but keeps it true to the original. His artistry is unmatched. Way to go David!

Wow! David is really making his mark in the world! He's had successful concert tours, has sung the National Anthem and other patriotic songs at several venues, and has recently won an ALMA award! Those of us who love David always knew he was destined for superstardom! David's talent and humble spirit make him so worthy of all of his success!!!

I watched this for 5 1/2 hrs last night... and first thing this morning..my heart is still pounding with pride...Makes me so proud to call myself a fan of the Archuleta...winning over the music world , one performance at a time.... sigh......What an amazing talent.

I can't stop watching this video. David just when I think you can't sing anymore beautiful, you prove me wrong. This performance is so amazing, I can't even express how much it means to me. icgrag: Please thank your son for his service. My son was in Iraq and I know how difficult it is to share your son with the country. I am so glad you got to hear David sing this song. I really beleive he feels so much respect for your son and what he does. His smile when he saw the Marines says so much. David was there to sing for them and his country not for himself.

Absolute PERFECTION. Loved David the second he appeared on Idol. He is humble, adorable, way beyond talented, a role model to young people. He didn't need to "win" Idol to be a winner in every sense of the word.

I love the kind of clarity and sincerity of his voice whenever he sings. He beautifully communicates the meaning and purpose of the songs and doesn't try to show off his singing abilities for the sake of doing so. He skillfully lends his voice to the songs to give the music and lyrics the recognition they deserve. David is truly an amazing artist

wkyken: I am also NOT a teenager. I just love David. I met him and he truly believes in his country. If you haven't heard some of his Christmas songs from last year on you tube. You will see how much he puts into a song when he sings about God . I can't wait for this album. He is truly a wonderful singer and put so much emotioin into his singing. He is gaining more and more fans. I am so happy for him, he deserves all the success he is having.

Towards the end of the video when the announcer said "ladies and gentlemen, David ARchuleta!". The audience was pretty enthusiastic in their response. I know by experience that David live is so amazingly different compared to the videos of his performances on youtube. He is super amazing live. As far as his breathiness, you do notice it but it doesn't take away from the beauty of his voice. If you watch Maria Carey and Whitney HOuston singing "When You Believe", they are pretty breathy.

I love that man at about 1:01 that you could see said "He's good" . This was so amazing, I can't believe I almost forgot about it! That part at about 1:48 is amazing. 2:35 and on was just chills.

To the person who said this song makes them laugh, to some of us it makes us cry. Why?? Because this is a song that is about a country we love, and many of us have had people in our family that have served in the military that these Marines represent. This country with all of its faults is a great country to live in. David says with his voice and his passion what many of us feel but could never express in the way he can. Our "tears" are tears of pride and love for this country and its people.

That was an absolutely amazing performance!Just when I think he couldnt get any better! He is truly one of a kind . I love his tweet on 9/11. Listening through America The Beautiful since I'm singing it at the US Open this weekend. Reflecting on its meaning especially on this day. This is what makes him so good! At this point in time, no one can sing better than Archie's version and rendition of this song. His voice is exceptionally beyond amazing. He sends chills to listeners by the emotion conveyed in his vocals. He sings with sincere feelings outpouring to his audience.
