Be didn't say they were better. He flat out said that the Bills were not better today after trading Diggs. He was clear in his comments that they have guys on their roster and they believe in them while obviously saying they are going to add guys. Nothing was contracting about his statement that you played. He said numerous times they are looking at every Avenue to upgrade the roster. And trust me, every member of Bills Mafia understands why this happened and 99% are ok with it. We were tired of the constant conversations around Diggs

It’s SO obvious you guys have no idea what you’re talking about when it comes to Buffalo. Diggsy had X years left, when he’s going to be 31 in November. He became an all-pro only WITH josh. His last 8 weeks last year were TRASH. He had a massive drop against KC and he blamed..josh. Dude’s a diva & not worth the headache. Get a star rookie for 4 years for 19 million (same of Diggs contract for next year ALONE). The 'window is closing' talk makes no sense to me, not as long as you have a QB that is as talented as Allen. Their success so far has not been because of OTHER players being so good they beat the other team...he's always the one to standout when they win...so add a few good draft picks and you go again. I'm not even a Bills fan but I think the window talk is ridiculous.

As a Bills fan, I don’t need the juicy details. I understand what Beane said. He said they were not better today than yesterday, but he likes where they’re at. Both things can be true. He’s not the kind of person who goes into details about private matters, as he shouldn’t. What kind of message does that send to your team, potential free agents, and draft picks? Eventually someone with credible knowledge will shed the light you’re seeking.

Not confusing to me, given the rest of the press conference. They are not better right now, but he said repeatedly that we have until September. He’s hoping to field a better team then, after the office staff he mentions are able to acquire more players. I’m surprised that they did this now, and took the cap hit. I think it speaks to what a problem Diggs had become.

This a bad take. Beane said they weren't better after the trade. No games are going to be played today or tomorrow. There is time before the season starts as Beane said. As others have said, I don't need the juicy details. Laying out dirty laundry doesn't endear future players or future ex-players to Beane. Obviously Diggs wasn't going to be a part of their plans for 2024. This is Allen's age 28 season. Who knows what the future holds. I can tell you this, Diggs helped Josh become the Josh we know today. Go Bills!

This is not the NBA. If a player starts becoming a problem to one organization than other organizations won't even give him a chance. Diggs is going to find out the hard way that teams are not going to accept his crap, WR in the draft are becoming more pro ready, and he's on the other side of 30. Bills fan here - The Super Bowl was not going to be won by Buffalo in 2024 with Stefon Diggs. The past is the past. Josh Allen will have other players not named Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis catching passes this year and in the future. I love that the Bills ripped the band aid off quickly and decisively this off season. Step back in 2024 to step forward in 2025. Progress in life is rarely a straight line Esp after 4 years of trying and KC owns you. Doing the same thing over and over expecting different results is insanity.

I can't even imagine for Bills Mafia to comprehend the draft capital it would cost tot move up from 28th to 4,5,6, or 10 to get the top three wideouts in the draft. I think the more plausible scenario is to get in the upper 20's and get Brian Thomas from LSU or stay put and get Mitchel/Worthy. Honestly I would probably grab two with the first and 2nd round pick.

The 2020's Bills SB window has closed. They have the same problem the 90's Oilers had. Being a really good team at the same time another team in the conference is great...ironically, it was the Bills back then. And it's worse this time around. Bills today have to contend w/ the Chiefs, Ravens and maybe the Bengals. They are clearly not as good or well coached as the Chiefs and are probably on par w/ any other good team in the AFC. Odds are against them.

Dear David Samson, Do you watch football? Do you understand a culture like the Bills and that that kind of stuff stays in house and is just good biz for everyone? If you are a real Bills fan, you know exactly why he was traded. No GM anywhere will ever tell the whole truth, it would only create more problems. What do you mean, "what is it" ? It's all of those things. It's a work in progress. And he's confident of what he has for his building blocks. And he said they are lesser for losing Diggs. There was no contradiction, he's just spitting facts. But as usual, when you speak your mind, the sports media goes for the jugular, then whines when sports players or staff only give meme answers. It's because you roast them for giving any hint on an answer, regardless of what that answer is, you'll fry them for it. You sports media folks do a disservice to the fans as we can't hear any good interviews anymore. Everything is pre-drilled, template answers. They know if they say what's on their mind, you'll rake them over the coals for daring to be honest. For goodness sake, try to be human, and let other people be human. Would be a nice change.

Bills could have kept Diggs for $27 million this year, but chose to get rid of him and pay $31million just to have him gone. Sal Capaccio explained that. That’s an indication of how toxic Diggs had become in the locker room. It was more expensive to have him not on the team than on the team. That is sounding a lot like how he was when he left Minnesota. He’s a good player when he wants to be, but his quality fell off every year. Last half of last season it looked like he just didn’t care. He just was no longer worth the aggravation.

I think Josh Allen will get better and the team will get better. They don’t have the stress of having to throw the ball to Diggs. Now Josh Allen can be Josh Allen. Get him some weapons and he will thrive. I hope CJ Stroud doesn’t let “the diva” make calls and demands. He’s one of the WR, he’s not going to be the #1 WR. Diggs will have to adapt to the Texans, not have the Texans adapt to him. Texans were successful last season… they are not going to let anything disrupt that.

Let’s just add in there Beane has wasted Allen’s best years by failing to surround him with enough talent, Diggs was only real talent Allen had to rely on and that probably cost us a championship…. Beane sucks in the draft he fails year after year , only produced 1 star in Allen and 1-2 starters a draft, that’s not a good draft that’s very bottom of the league 1-2 starters a draft and 1 star in all these years

I think it was the organization’s over-reliance on Gabe Davis. Davis’ 4-TD playoff game was fool’s gold and had everyone believe that he was a legit WR2. Beane has drafted well. The problem is that key pieces in the Bills consistently under-performed in the playoffs. Stefon Diggs was a real talent…in the regular season. He consistently disappears in playoff games (especially against the Chiefs). If you’re a top 5 WR, you need to find ways to get open in the big games and make the big catch.

@@MrGhostface85 ya your right , Davis after that game the media crowned him , but ya Diggs does under perform in the playoffs, it’s just a disappointment we got nothing much in return and got hit with 30 million dead cap hit
