I'm an immigrant to NZ, I came here in 97 under the skill category. I've voted National at every election, until the last one where I voted ACT and so far I'm very pleased I did. I got swayed after listening to you during an online long form discussion. You obviously have a strong moral compass, so please keep telling it the way you see it and I'll keep voting ACT!
The more I listen to you the more I agree with you. Keep up the good work. I was a greenie but I discovered that I wasn't sexist, racist, violent or criminal enough to be one.
Not improvement only Where's the honesty in that anyways way too much blah with short improvements Too much BS Principals based on Acts politicies in politics nothing personal
Sad we cant sack the corrupt judges. But good they are being dealt with. Good re treaty. Yes redefine it and bring back the truth of it. Never resign David. You and winny are the only ones holding the coalition to account. Luxon is improving but he has to learn that popularity does not get things done or worse does not get law order and fairness done. Example, TPM, waitangi tribunal needs to go and we need a referendum on the treaty. Get rid of this illogical pretence that it is based on principles. It is not.
Tampering with Te Tiriti watering down is dishonest Govts are very much on this platform progress adaptability the Never-ending BS Nothing personal Te Tiriti is
Well said. Luxon is wrong about the referendum. He claims it will be divisive. However we are already divided. The referendum will allow us to pull the Band-Aid off quickly and let the wound start to heal. Also it would encourage most people to read the treaty and I can tell you that most people will realise it doesn't say what the activists want it to say.
The "safety" measures on our roads have been crazy stupid. Waste of money. We need major change in our health and education systems. Their budgets are unaffordable. They need to be market based to provide quality and quantity gains. We need new urban areas created. Whole new towns with their own territorial authority. BIG ... We can't waste anyone more money on trying to fix up nonsense poor historical city planning. They need to be able to fail, to bring lasting accountability.
You raise a good point Jason. So many added traffic lights and extra speed bumps. How much electricity is consumed by all these extra lights etc - the cost including ongoing cost must be massive
@@beneagleson3026 Yeah in my town they are putting speed bumps everywhere. In one place you will go over 6 in about a kilometer. It should be illegal. For example if I put my own speed bump on the road I would be charged for something. I don't believe the councils should have the right to make our roads less smooth and harder to drive over. Most countries would call that sabotage.
Reduce spending on safety and other woke rubbish. Increase spending in health. Doctors told my dad to put up with the pain in shoulder after months just to come to even see a doctor. He gave up and went back to India and in just 1 day the doctors were able to conduct all the test and resolve the issue. Frozen shoulder, prescribed phsyo for one month. Else, they will use a new technology called hydro blasting.
The Police database should be sophisticated enough to apply new licencing based on past driving performances without the need for a testing station at all. Of course in rural communities where the police databases are lacking there is an issue, but in Auckland with plate recognition, phone accelerator data and insurance companies lowering your premiums if you indicate when no one is around. So the data is there, we just need to be proactive and stop using licensing as another tax collection tool by restricting peoples access to vehicles based entirely on paying the government for recognition that is unsophisticated and a failure. As we see with kids stealing cars and conducting ram raids, thats not beginner levels into car if your stealing them.
I like David Seymour, and most of those questions/comments were on the silly side of things. However the one about the courts is on point. It is clear now in most of the western world that due to radical leftists there is a two tiered justice system. For example a leftist in his 20's punched an elderly woman in the face multiple times and he was discharged without conviction... acquitted. If a young National party member did that to one of our Maori elders he would (justly) have the book thrown at him. It's undeniable that we need legislation that checks judges to ensure there is no political bias and that justice is blind and equal, right now it isn't. It's also clear that under Labour the government was pressuring the courts to reduce the number of Maori in Prison. The only way they could do that was to give Maori unfair and preferable treatment. So our courts are already broken due to corrupt interference.
Revoke all drivers licenses are you insane if you mean all road users including trucks and essential services society will not survive not to mention how many people will lose they’re incomes
Hi David, Here’s some further ideas: 1/ Get the state right out of broadcasting; please sell the very woke RNZ, it is a travesty that taxpayers are funding this platform of the Left. 2/ See above.
It takes both sides of the house to stay on the strait and narrow !! to far to the right or left and it always creates an imbalance as we saw with the last Government !! when in the first term with Winston keeping Jacinda centred it was Ok but the second term she got to much power and it went to her head !!!
Look at this stage you guys are in control ( so no excuses) - people voted you in to fix the economy and the terrible state NZ is in after Labour/Greens - Unfortunately, the main control on the economy has been left in place by the Labour party ( The Reserve Bank ) Adrian Orr. ( labour placed him there with I believe a 5-year contract -they knew ) This effectively allows labour to control the bulk of the economy post-election - The recession is primarily caused by the stranglehold the Reserve Bank has on the economy and via raised interest rates from ( 0.5% to now 5.5% base rate meaning commercial banks are now at 7.5% - as I'm sure you know. Crippling borrowers /mortgage owners and business - You will not succeed unless either you remove Adrian or get Adrian to bring interest rates down and ease borrowing, which incidentally has also become almost impossible to get commercial banks to release money - as instructed by the Reserve Bank - So stop tinkering and deal with the massive hole in the bucket. This is the only thing you need to focus on before NZ goes down like the Titanic.
