God, people asking to ruffle his hair... it's the second time I hear this on one of those panels. I mean, I get it, he's got gorgeous hair, but honestly, he is married, and why ask this from a man standing on a stage in front of hundreds of people anyway? He must feel soo uncomfortable at things like that ... kudos to him that he always stays so polite! Why can some people never respect a certain privacy? Just because he is popular doesn't mean that fans can cross every delicate line. Sorry for the ran, but ... Gosh.
It's a callback to a time he was on a TV show doing a Q&A and someone asked to ruffle his hair and he "assumed the position" (leaned forward) and she came up on stage to play with his hair.
Thank you very much for sharing this! 🤩😍 You had a great seat and the quality of your recording is brilliant! I love how enthusiastic and charming David is, his walking around the stage and engaging with the audience. I'd would a privilege to be there. David Tennant is a fantastic guy and super talented actor. Love him 🤩❤️
Thanks for uploading this :) My Sister and her friend went and were in the audience :D Been hearing all the cool stories today and looking forward to watching this :)
Stop frikin touching people you adore. I mean, you get the pleasure to look at them act for you, to visit you in your country, to talk to you. Even animals at the zoo get more privacy in touching department.
Oh thank you so much for it and in such a good quality. I didn’t manage to get there, so I was a little bit sad yesterday, but perhaps he is coming back one time. Was the hall full or overcrowded ?
This was I feared like: will I be abel to get a seat. I have no idea how big the fandom is, I am from Germany saw Dr Who on Telly this spring for the first time and Tennant’s Doctor this summer. Like a few months ago if I meet him on the street I would have no idea and now I was thinking about to drive over 400 km one way just to be in a hall with him. Really weird.
You're kidding, right? But I wouldn't have been surprised actually. The huge hall was more than full. We've been waiting for hours, sitting there thru other panels (no hardship, tho!) to get to the front row.
Do we all agree that DT is just a tiny bit nerodivergent! Just as a person just a little bit of ADHD energy ❤ said of course with so much love 🥰 (i have ADD)
@@pollylowder4541 Oh sorry, I didn't see this until now! Honestly I haven't seen him in that much, but I'll have to say Good Omens, that's how I became a fan :) I also really liked Broadchurch, and recently, Doctor Who! And you?
Me! :) French-speaking woman : "Hello David!" David: "Hello! Woman: "Firstly, thank you." David: (in French) "Where is the tourist information office?" (in English) "That's all I remember" Woman: "Sorry for not being able to speak in English" David (in French) "Very good" "Go straight on, take the first street on the left. Voilà! This is the tourist information office!" "Thank you". Woman: "Thanks for coming today, I think it's your first time in a French-speaking country. The French have been waiting for you for a long time now. When will David Tennant come to Paris comic-con?" David: (in French) "Yes" "That's good" "But, tell me... What?" (in English) "Did that answer the question?" *Yes* "Thank you! NEXT!" And with the next person: He answers "I'm fine, thank you" when they ask "How are you?". Then, they say they come from France and he answers "Me too". And at the end "Very good!" "I'm very cute" I hope it helped ;)
You're a star, thank you so much! That's hilarious! So David said "I'm very cute"? Hah. The truer words have never been spoken! And I too would love to see him in France - or in any other European city actually. The USA comic-cons are too far away :/
I remember him saying that he either tried or wanted to come dressed as The Doctor, but it is weird to do so when there are many other Doctors going around at the convention. I agree; he'd just be another man cosplaying The Doctor 🙂
I'm very new but I've wondered that too!! Tom Hiddleston turned up as Loki once to a comic con and the room went completely wild, I imagine David Tennant turning up as the Doctor would have a similar reaction, I'd love to see it.
@@grandmatildyfromtennessee4605 Sometimes at the cons they do dress up but there's a catch- it's for the cosplayers to have their photo taken with them. So if you're in a Doctor Who costume you pay for a ticket on- line and David will do a few photos in costume for that. I think the BBC frowns on it for some reason. Met David Tennant last year at the con in Boston and he was his usually scruffy self so nice but no costume for us. Maybe he did do a few costume photos but they can't walk out on the floor in the costume they stay in the photo booth area behind curtains. I expect Marvel might have different ideas if Tom can wear his costume while meeting fans. Hope that helps.
@@wrennewman6868 thank you very much for explaining... I think that's knocked a bit of gloss off what I sort of thought of comic cons as but... anyway :P
@@grandmatildyfromtennessee4605 I know what you mean. My first comic con back in 83? Pretty much the same but with a huge difference-- the photos were free, the autograph were free meeting them was free. Now it's a huge business. I met Tom Baker at my first con. It's good for the actors on these shows to have these because there's really good money for them to just show up, give a talk and all that. I paid over $500 to meet David Tennant and get his autograph and photograph with him last year. Worth it? Yes it was. David Tennant such a decent guy. Very informal and friendly no ego to him at all.
