Smart, kind, talented, sexy, and gorgeous. I may be late in discovering David Tennant, but I am glad nonetheless. Cheers to you David and I hope you get all the awards and success you deserve!
"Be on time, know your lines, and be nice". Thank you. I needed some advice like that. Although I will never go into a profession in the arts, this is very much something I need right now, even as a student learning my trade. All I need to do is to change the "know your lines" part to "know your stuff".
Thank you so much for this. The gentleman who gave this speech spoke of David's character. This is why he is universally loved.I became aware of David(as the Doctor) April 4th 2010, during A doctor Who marathon. The first scene I saw him in as the Doctor was the Doctor comforting an older woman on a double decker bus in the middle of the desert.I had no idea what I was watching or the context of the story, but I was drawn to this person on screen and wanted (had) to keep watching. It has been (for me) David ever since. Not only in his acting profession has he achieved acclaim, but I admire him for who he is, as person. It embodies everything he does. He so deserves this accolade.David is now the Doctor for real. I am so happy for him.
Thank you for posting this. I heard him admitting he was struggling to think of what to say at the NY talk. Clearly he found it and it was great (as was his proposer's speech. Would have liked to have seen more of David's reaction to some of those comments but I can imagine!). Well deserved and the first of many awards and honours before, undoubtedly, he joins the likes of Gielgud et al as a Lord of the theatre. Couldn't happen to a nicer or more talented bloke.
I don't know how I've come across this so late but I'm glad I did. I've been a fan of David since Doctor Who & have admired him ever since. He seems like a great guy & very well deserving of this. David, you won't see this but if you do - thanks for being you & thank you for passion & kindness.
Just happened upon this happy occasion and do hope the graduates are enjoying their stage and acting careers. And thrilled we now have the official doctor Tennant x
@@annieinwonderlandWhich makes me love him even more. What a privilege it is to be on planet earth together with him and to have access to him both on and off stage regardless of how remote that is. I have some Scottish DNA & ancestors I don't know but it thrills me that I have that teeny tiny connection with him. In times such as these, he single handedly gives me comfort and hope for humanity despite so much proof to the contrary all around us.
Yep i can't aggree more and the worst I can find about him is the absolute raido bed incident. ( where he and if you jump on tumblr they have worked out timeliness) he was auctioning his bed for charity. It broke before it was delivered. He seems to have done some partying Dr who and pre marriage days but I am with you about him being a class act. It's rare for any actor or celebrity these days. I am a bit older than an average fan girl but I think that he is genuinely a good role model
ah so now we get the tiny tidbit of information that he and his wife have managed to keep secret for some months... the name of the second daughter. I knew there were reasons to watch this.
the greatest doctor of them all will always be Tom Baker, David is the greatest doctor of the modern age and well worthy of his degree, way to go!!!!!!!!!
