I was a big fan of David Terrell at Michigan. I was on a family trip to Chicago and my father was listening to a bears game on the radio Terrell dropped 3 passes in the game and I never heard from him again.
I remember his mom Ms.Barbara use to call bro in the house before the street lights came on Daviddddd David Boy I still remember her voice so clearly! Damn I miss those days my brother DT! Love Bro yo lil bro Chub (Jackson Ward) 1989 Va
Exactly now they give it to anyone. U use to have to prove yourself . I remember even Edward's was number 80 and then proved he deserved the number 1 jersey.
I know it's a highlight reel, so you'll tend to show TD runs and catches, but he had some absolutely insane catches that weren't for TDs in the Alabama Orange Bowl.
Big Daddy, from Richmond...thanks for all the glory that you and your teammates brought to Michigan Football and its fans for 3 years. I was there in Orlando, DT. On that cold victory over Auburn. And then things have simply never been the same. 9-11 and Jim Tressel...infiltrating South Carolina.
Remember they had to play him as a DB and put him on Plaxico Burress?! That just shows you his insane talent. That said, Burress was really unstoppable his last year at State.
@2:55 Those Joe Tiller Purdue teams, especially with Brees, were always so dangerous. Brady vs Brees was quite the duel even before their NFL days. Side note; I wish U of M got to play Purdue and some of the other West teams from the traditional Big Ten (though I'd be happy if they never played in Kinnick Stadium again). Now instead of Purdue or Minnesota we get Rutgers and Maryland every year ....
The only jerseys I ever bought as a kid were a Desmond Howard jersey (got it as a gift when I was 7) and then DTs when I was in high school. He was just a beast! Wish he played his senior season with Marquis Walker, a totally underrated receiver in Michigan history.
Outside of Desmond, hands down my favorite Michigan WR. Him and Marquis Walker were a legendary tandem; as good if not better than the Desmond Howard-Derrick Alexander combo and the Amani Toomer-Mercury Hayes combo.
When Lloyd Carr was relying on the run and couldn't get anything done. Time for Plan B just throw the number one lol 😆 Edward's or dt would pull games out for Michigan. What a weapon to have . I believe that's what Michigan's been missing under Jim . Not only the qb being just above average at best. But can't find that superstar wide out. That guy when all the chips are down u can throw it up in any area code and he would answer the call.
Also, Henson made me nervous as hell... He was such a gunslinger.... Somehow Terrell usually managed to be there to bail him out of the dangerous passes.
DT was a man playing amongst boys in college. Always thought that he was going to have an incredible NFL career, but for whatever reason, it wasn't to be. Nevertheless, what he did at Michigan will never be forgotten.
@@kingtrawal Well…I see what you’re saying, but I’m not so sure you can say that about every offensive player the Bears have ever drafted, eh? I mean, one thing you certainly can say for sure: Ohio State QBs have historically sucked in the NFL. When was the last really good one? Now, that said, Stroud might be different, but…I thought Fields would be different, too.
@@kingtrawal That’s not what you said in the previous post, though. You’re gonna take away the running backs now? 😉 I mean, your point is well taken, of course. And that’s kind of what I was hinting at with my previous response-I was gonna cite Walter Payton. Ha!
@WolverineHistorian Really, Most of the combo units I've seen have fuzzy playback compared to one that is just an older vcr. I think you mean SP, EP (extended play aka Super Long Play SLP) is the 6 hour mode on a standard length vhs.
Amazing highlight reel - thought he was every bit as talented as Howard, Edwards, Toomer, et al. Too bad he didn't pan out in the NFL. Michigan career was amazing, though. #GoBlue
