Speeding up clips cause the program to hang and close everytime I try to preview. So I'd export the clip first then import it again. 2yr old Asus fx-505ge 16gb ram with nvidia 1060.

What do you have the retime settings set to on a project level? I've also got a video on 'Smooth Playback' in DaVinci Resolve that should help you out. Check it out if you have a chance.

@@JasonYadlovski It happens when I change clip speed (ex. 400%).

@@webslinger2011 ok, open the inspector and check the retime settings and motion estimation. Make sure they are set to 'nearest' for the Retime settings and the top option under motion estimation. They are the easiest on your machine. See if that helps.

Hi Jayson! Beginner question here. been asking around how to make a clip (with audio) and make it faster and the audio sound like chipmunk voice, then back to normal timing (like me saying "woh woh, let's play that again.."). Is this it? Thanks. How I appreciate these Quick Tip Tuesday👏👏👏
@JasonYadlovski

Hi! So if you want to speed up and slow down clips, and have the audio do the same, you probably wanna check out my slow-motion video. It’s the same concept, you would just be speeding up the clip instead of slowing it down. I believe you can look around the five minute mark but check the time stamps too. Here’s a link to the video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mOI416-K8M8.html

Can you create videos on: 1. how to add green screen video to our video during editing? 2. In davinci resolve 16 , do we can edit green screen videos downloaded from Google or created in canva.com ? 3. Also how to create a subscribe button ( fo post an easy way to make it )?

Hi! Thanks for watching! I'll add those Ideas to my list. I do have a video on making a subscribe button and some other basics in fusion here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FUTzxeVqMpI.html Hope that helps!

Hi, not sure if you reply on a year old video, but I'm having a different issue, I really don't like how the slowed down audio sound and I find it's because of the pitch correction, but when I turn that off it will turn it off for all parts of my clip whereas I only want that on the slowed down parts. Any way to change this for specific sections of a clip without cutting it and messing up with the smooth transitions? Thanks in advance
@JasonYadlovski
@JasonYadlovski 2 года назад
Hi! I don’t think you can change it for part of the clip without cutting the clip. I would say to try making the cut right at the start and end of the transition to isolate the part you want to be effected. It should work.

Hey, what does the "Frame Blend" option do?
@JasonYadlovski
@JasonYadlovski 2 года назад
It just helps interpret data between your frames and smooth things out. Optical flow will give you the best results but be the most taxing on your computer.

👍😁 I think adjusting some of the settings would make a difference on your video. Just FYI it may take longer to render and may be harder to playback as you go to higher and higher quality‘s. All depending on your computer of course.

When you say to turn on theses settings before you “export”, do you mean they should be turned on before “exporting” the project to share with someone or move it to a different machine, or do you mean to turn these on before rendering the video? In the deliver page? I assume you mean before rendering, correct.
@JasonYadlovski
@JasonYadlovski 3 года назад
Yes, before you render out the project when you’re finished. I do that because my machine doesn’t have enough power otherwise. It Boggs things down too much for me. If you have a strong machine just go ahead and turn it on at any point.

@@JasonYadlovski Thanks. That's what I thought. I am glad I learned this from you since I was speed ramping some video and found it was really choppy. Lookiing forward to using this technique to address the issue. Also, I just have to say that I have just started Davinci and your channel is fantastic. I am gradually going though *all* of your past videos and learning so much. The Tuesday Tips are perfect as they hit on a main topic, explain it very well, and do it all in a short amount of time. Not too fast. Not too slow. Great job! Thanks so much!

Hi! Thanks for checking out my videos, I appreciate it! How long have you been posting videos on RU-vid? In my experience it takes a lot of time and patience. For example it took me a year after I restarted my channel to get 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours of watch time. It’s kind of like a snowball effect, it takes a long time to get going but once it starts growing you see it grow faster, exponential growth. And you also have all of the RU-vid back and stuff like keywords, titles, thumbnails, descriptions and once you learn more about how to tie everything together it will help RU-vid surface your videos better. I will be talking about all of that kind of stuff in my RU-vid or Tips series. Do you have any specific questions I can answer for you? Thanks again for watching!

That’s strange, are you in the edit tab? Do you have your clip selected then look in the inspector under retime controls? You can also try selecting your clip, right click and go to re-time controls in the pop-up menu. Or if you wanna slow down the clip you can highlight your clip, right click on it and go to clip attributes. In there you can change the framerate. One of those should work.
