George Romero's Dawn of the Dead was filmed in and around the Monroeville, Pa area.
This is the location of the small private airfield used in the movie.

As of today May 31st, 2023, the airport office building along with all the hangers have been demolished.

It's such a shame the building has fallen to this state, it should be preserved as an iconic movie location

Just got the news today, the airport office is now demolished as well as the hangers. I’m pretty sure the land is being developed into housing

I used to live in the orange brick house right in front of this runway and often archery hunted whitetail off of this runway. All surrounding areas and the runway are now housing developments. I even was lucky enough to be a passenger on one of the planes and got to experience a takeoff and landing here. Such sad times.
