So good that you're running again. I'm sure you must be stoked. Best of luck with the comeback. Worst running injury I've had were the shin splints I had in Dec, Jan this year. Ugh. Very frustrating injury to deal with and relatively difficult to treat. I've since recovered but I still do some of the rehab stuff as a preventative measure. Def don't want to have to deal with that again!

Runners knee. I has ruined 6 months and counting of running. Finishing 10 weeks off and rehab next month and starting all over again. So can relate quite well with your current content.

I'm an active 64 yo. triathlete (all distances) whose everyday training is about "comebacks". The list of repletive use injuries is long. So, long (in fact) I am literally on a first name basis with my PT's, Sport Orthopedic surgery (on my 2nd since my 1st one retired this year), Sport dietician, Podiatrist (also retiring soon), etc. One of those injuries is runner knee. It developed some 30+ yrs. ago and I have had (literally) decades of learning to run with (off and on) runner's knee type issues. During that time, I developed training methods that are not that dissimilar to what you are doing. It would be nice if you could revisit the keystone to MAF (or Zone 2 training, 80/20) HR training as it relates to active older athletes ... after all, this the group most likely to have injuries. The reason I mention this is that most age-based HR training simply doesn't apply to active older athletes. For example, my max. HR is 188 and resting HR is in the 49-51 range. Those numbers no where represent your typical age-based calculations. Future video's about the short falls of age-based HR training would be good.

Noted! I will certainly address this in the future. Thanks!
