As a rule for myself I have a top or bottom rule. If I’m wearing shorts or a shorter-ish skirt, I like to have a more full coverage top. If I’m wearing say a Cami top/tank top I like wearing a high waisted pant or longer skirt. Same with dresses. If it’s shorter, I want more coverage up top. If it’s longer I don’t mind the top being more free. I judge usually by how I feel when I put something on - I love the way you dress lol
For me , i gave up wearing pants after i had my daughter and during the pregnancy. I still wear baggy linen shorts but no pants. One day, i just woke up, and God told me to get rid of it. So i gave it all to goodwill. Now i wear dresses almost everyday and i love it.
I’ve been getting more convicted recently on how I dress, for now I feel like I’m trying to go for baggy bottoms and tight top, or loose top and baggy bottoms. No cleavage showing of course. I do wear leggings to the gym, but avoid colors such as cream or bright colors that show my body more clearly, so basically I only wear black leggings usually with a baggy sweater. But that’s really it. I don’t mind my shoulders showing but I struggle with my arms being larger but that’s a different story 🫠 Loved your video ❤️
Love those cargo jeans! So I grew up with my Dad providing all clothing standards which were on the strict side. In his opinion showing any leg above the knee, or any shoulder/upper arms, could cause others to stumble. So I didn't really wear tanks or most shorts. And dresses had to be around calf to ankle. I also wasn't allowed to wear much jewelry as that also could draw too much attention to me. It didn't mess up my childhood, but I felt kind of stifled as a colorful, creative person. I was also super shy and felt a little ashamed of myself. As I grew up and got to determine my own standards, things have changed and I'm sure they will continue to as I evaluate and grow. But now I feel more like the person God created- who can wear fun jewelry, bright colors, and experiment with different clothing styles. There are lines I do draw, like showing cleavage and too short shorts or skirts that leave nothing to be imagined. I think as I become a parentI will keep alot of my experience in mind when I teach about modesty and presentation. There is nothing wrong with making ourselves beautiful. We can discern in our hearts if we are constantly seeking attention, or simply using a little creative self expression.❤ Love your mom videos with Eros too! 🤗
I live somewhere subtropical by the beach where it’s 100 degrees on an average day. So for me beach wear, bikinis, etc. are just everyday wear. My convictions end up being more locational. I wear bikinis (never super duper cheeky or thong like) at the beach, the pool, in the car, walking around outside etc. If I’m going to a restaurant I’ll put on some shorts and maybe a button down over top. But I would never walk around like Walmart or anything because the context does not require small articles of clothing.
Needed something wholesome in between watching a kdrama that is supposed to be a small town romance but is getting kinda dark towards the end (summer strike) Random... As always I enjoy your vlogs 😊
Been thinking of the topic of modesty recently… for me I feel unsettled wearing crops that show my mid drift, don’t know necessarily why but I’ve always felt that way, or wearing skinny jeans with a tight shirt. How ever I will say that I grew up seeing women wearing very modest clothing but it wasn’t necessarily by choice but rather to “obey God”. I hope that women who do wear only dresses or have different views from me are doing so because they are truly convicted and feel comfortable doing so (not feeling pressured to do so)
