Good for you! This is the first time I've ever seen you seem almost 'liberal' on any topic but I fully support this message. Every woman needs to follow the Spirit for herself. Nobody can tell you what Jesus wants *you* to do. ❤

Hi Nastasia! I have never commented on a yt video before, but I wanted to comment on this one and just give you a huge thank you. So many influencers have been posting about all things modesty recently. This led to me dressing more modest, not even entirely because of my own conviction. While I thought that I was convicted (and there are some things that I am convicted about), a lot of it was me doing it because I felt like I SHOULD. This was a much needed watch for me and I really needed to hear everything that you said in this video, because you are so right. It’s about where our heart is at and what our own convictions are from the Holy Spirit, not about doing it because we feel like we should. 🤍

Thank you for making this video! I didn’t realize how much I needed it. I felt so alone, most of my friends dress on the opposite sides of the spectrum and I’m somewhere in the middle like you not wanting to show my lady areas.. but then feel like the person who isn’t cute or fun because they’re “prude”. But to the friends dressing super modestly they think I dress risqué compared to them 😅

Wow this is SO good thank you!! Exactly how I feel!! And my husband thinks the same about the prairie dress thing 🤣 it’s sad people are very nit picky with Christian women’s “modesty”. I think God definitely gives us freedom and creativity within our convictions!

Thank you so much for this video. I didn’t even realize how much I needed to hear this. And thank you for touching on personal convictions as far as types of movies/shows. My husband and I have different convictions when it comes to those, and what you said gave me so much peace about it! I used to think that just bc I couldn’t watch crime shows/thrillers etc. that he shouldn’t either, even when he would explain to me that he wasn’t sensitive to them like I was. I will continue to pray on this, but you truly gave me a perspective that I feel I needed to hear. Thank you ♥️ I really love your channel.

I completely get where you’re coming from because I grew up in a cult and there was sooo much shaming and embarrassment and intimidation and feeling like you are worth less if you don’t do xy and z. So it’s a really important topic to discuss and shed light on

Thannnnnkkk you for this video! It’s kind of frustrating seeing a lot of Christian social media girls sharing their conviction for modesty as “long dresses only”. This is a personal conviction & they shouldn’t be trying to push that on other Christian women. The Lord knows our heart & created us all with different personalities. Of course, let’s not purposely tempt our brothers with the way we dress. But we can still have our own style that still honors the Lord.

About this convo, taking the Bible into account, taking husband's opinion into account and getting a general range of perspectives from men around you that are willing to share their perspective is what I've found to be helpful Cuz for example generally when asking guys about the legging situation I've heard back that when worn uncovered it's difficult to not look or look away cuz the butt is just there

Thank you for articulating something I have believed personally for years! I love the grace you approached this video with. I’m conservative in many areas but felt like I was the crazy person because I’m not convicted about shorter shorts. Legs are legs! Now I don’t feel crazy 😅

I wear pretty modest clothing. I wear little more “coverage” than you wear. I like this video but... I tend to only wear skirts because I feel like that’s the only thing that doesn’t draw attention to my butt. I agree with pretty much everything you said but I think it’s hard because the way we dress isn’t just to our convictions. I think it’s also being mindful of other people’s (as in the people that look at us). I think most people would disagree with me on that. I actually struggle with same sex attraction so I feel like I can speak for the opposite sex here. I think it would probably be best for someone with a more liberal conviction on the topic to maybe go a little bit past what they think is right. Because it isn’t just about how we see it but what other people in society are tempted by. Even though an outfit doesn’t make you feel immodest or make your husband feel conviction doesn’t mean someone won’t be tempted by it. Here comes the back lash lol😅

This was so good! I feel so seen. I went through a similar thing of feeling like I had to dress extra modest because others were doing it, but I didn't feel like it was my conviction. I feel so much better now that I just stick with my own convictions on modesty (similar to you).

Thanks for this! I was recently (the past year) convicted of the way I dress trying to move towards 'biblical femininity'... it would be great if you could discuss this in relation to dressing in a more androgynous way as I feel its more then just "am I covering enough??" but also how God created us to be different from men and the fashion these days ie. Hoodies and baggy pants though technically 'modest' work to endorse androgyny and blur the lines between the genders even more - also as you eluded also the putting on of a gentle spirit which is also discouraged in this modern "Boss Lady" era

My conviction grew when my son got older. 🙌 But I totally agree about falling into more modesty and it wasn't a true conviction with head coverings. I like head coverings but I don't wear them because I have to, I did feel like I wasn't modest enough.

This was encouraging! I believe modesty starts from the heart and seeking God first and foremost before allowing to listen to a religious practice of modesty. I also don’t feel comfortable with showing my belly button while wearing a crop top. I guess I didn’t feel properly dressed! I’m currently pregnant right now and nothing fits lol but I still want to focus on God’s design for us women to be after His heart.

Just curious...I live in a subtropical climate so in the summer you see a lot of skin. At the beach where there is no age restrictions on who wears a two piece, people don't think much about these things. Question: when it comes to crop tops and shorts would you wear them to church or is this your casual wear?
@lily-jane.400

I totally get where you are coming from Stas; I love those beautiful dresses some of the influencers and lifestyle content creators wear. They're so pretty. But I think it's good for women to remember as you are saying, that having different specific modesty guidelines than another sister doesn't make one better than the other. We have to all approach the Lord for ourselves and ask Him what would He have ME do. And listen to your own personal conscience. I fall more along your modesty convictions probably. I love dresses but I also wear tank and shorts sometimes too. The further along we are in our journey, the more light we have too- Maybe certain things we are ok with now, we will change in the future. But it will hopefully be because God puts it into our hearts, not because we felt like we had to follow the example of other women dressing a certain way. The most important thing for Christian women to keep in mind is how they reflect Christ and making sure the beauty of the heart shines through above all else. We can dress cute and stylish, but how we present ourselves shouldn't take priority over the condition of our heart and how we treat others and show God's love to the world ❤ Keep shining, Stas!

i think there’s more to be said about cleavage. for example, i have a very large chest and i can’t easily cover up or make that part of me more modest, because that’s jus the body God gave me. I try not to beat myself up about it but it’s hard when my body, that i don’t have control on how it was made, is labeled as “lustful”

Modesty is definitely spoken about in scripture. Everything we do should be to glorify the Lord. When we talk about conviction, it must line up with scripture or else you're most likely going based upon your feelings. Modesty is not a gray area. Glorify the Lord with your dress ladies NOT bringing attention to your body but to Christ who dwells inside you. This is not a "your truth," situation. This conversation is very disappointing and a poor example for sisters in Christ. Let's encourage one another to dress to glorify the Lord. Crop tops do not do this in any way shape or form.

Please show us the verses that specify the length of a dress, or the tightness of pants or a top. Also show us where Jesus tells women to cover up, instead of letting them bathe him with their own tears and dry him with their hair... And can you define exactly how a crop top doesn't glorify the Lord? Which part of a crop top would Jesus specifically dislike, and how do you know? What does it look like when clothing does glorify the Lord? Who defines this, if it's not in the Bible? I don't think you even really listened to her reasoning honestly.

I feel like boobs out and butt out isn’t modest. I personally don’t think arms or a little bit of leg showing is a bad thing. It gets really hot where I live sometimes and there are plenty of shorts that are long enough.

HI Natasia, have you ever checked out the RU-vid Channel of The Grace Church in Texas. Their Pastor Dr Andrew Farley says we no longer have a wicked heart since the Lord has changed our hearts of stone to hearts of flesh by inputting us with his righteousness. He also has a bible questions website where you can ask any thing regarding the Bible. Hope you find him eye opening to many lies we have been taught.

I have felt convicted and seeking God on this too...One thing for you, me and all of our Christian sisters reading this is to consider 'what are we drawing attention to?' AND 'why are we really wearing this/that?' Does our outfit draw attention to us and our bodies alone (from the men and women around us)? What's making me want to wear this outfit really? OR does our outfit draw attention to our beauty (that we all have) in a modest way that allows the to attention to go further than just our bodies and more to our personhood and Jesus? My husband who was addicted to pornography terribly has shared that the way men and women dress can point you directly to just look at their body. While we are all responsible for our inner world and thoughts (male and female) we who believe in God are called to be different. I'm not saying full modest outfits...no way is that my style. I'm not a full modest outfit wearing Christian women - I do wear shorts and dresses etc. The difference is now I make sure my clothes cover my cleavage and chest area (I don't wear singlet tops in public) and I also don't wear super tight or short stuff in public (at home no worries!) I pretty much wear all the same outfits in your thumbnail just no singlet tops haha. I don't want to be inviting other people to look at my form, boobs, body unnecessarily. My beauty is my 'appearance' and I love dressing up for sure, but it's also more than that, it's my personhood and I want people to remember that and Jesus ultimately not be distracted by my body and what I'm wearing. Hope this makes sense and is somewhat encouraging....I'm on a journey too and still learning!

The desire to pick up litter on the side of the road may be the God given command written on your heart to be good stewards of the earth.. just a thought. I do agree that Christian’s like to take things such as purity culture and going to church that are Christian culture things not necessarily biblical and turn them into sins

As a girl I do have a lot of thoughts on this. I think sometimes Christian circles forget that modesty is more about honoring God. While how much skin you cover is a piece of that, it's not the entire point. We as women aren't nearly as triggered visually in the same way that men are by a skimpily dressed girl. I'm not saying we NEVER are, but knowing that might help understand why we Christians are harder on women about modesty than men-- because we're built different in how we think. I'm not just saying that--there's studies on it and everything. I think a good place for men (and women) to start is to remember that modest indicates not being a show off in how you present yourself. I'm not saying don't dress nice, but I would say in how you dress don't flaunt yourself to impress mankind (including women). This technically goes deeper than clothing...like live in a way that is to give glory to God, not to get glory from people. If you want me to be literal in what to wear, not gonna lie it is easier for men and part of that is quite bluntly because women think a bit different and part because their private parts are isolated to one general area. Wear pants that fit properly and that don't sag/show the butt or boxers. That's the main pet peeve I hear women talk about. I suppose the only other thing I would say is read the room in terms of when is an okay time to go shirtless or not. Are you at the beach? That's fine. Working on a construction project in your backyard with some other guys on a hot day? That's fine. I wouldn't recommend walking around town like that though. Also the number of guys on Christian dating apps that have their first picture be them flexing shirtless is ridiculous. I see that and I swipe left without reading anything about him because I know he's more concerned with seducing a girl than honoring God.
@merg-vh5sx
@merg-vh5sx 3 месяца назад
For about a week every month I'm HARD triggered by men's appearance. Arms, even forearms, and legs and butts and everything. It's ridiculous. I'm not really sure men feel that intensely every single day. If they did nothing would ever get done. But maybe not all women experience the same when their bodies are in baby mode? I kind of suspect all of us who are healthy do, just that we don't talk about it a lot. Anyway, I don't expect men to wear a burqa because my hormones are acting up but I think it's reasonable for men to cover up their most beautiful bits, like women do. Within reason and as they're led, plus also with their wives in mind. @@lauraelizabethbrown

THE HOLY BIBLE says we should be modest & it also says that our body belongs to GOD first and it also belongs to the husband , Any clothing that is tight to the body or reveals skin or any part of your body is not from GOD YAHWEH and that is not hard to understand , it is simple !!!!!!!!!! ❤❤🔥🔥🔥❤❤💒💒💒❤❤🔥🔥❤❤💒💒💒❤❤🔥🔥🔥❤❤💒💒💒❤❤ we serve a JEWISH GOD THE GOD OF ISRAEL ABBA GOD YESHUA - HA - MOSHIACH ( ABBA GOD JESUS CHRIST ) If we see the traditional wear of Jews , you will see that they wear cloth which are not tight and which don't show skin like long skirts with non tight top & long frock etc why would ABBA GOD HOLY SPIRIT want us to wear tight clothes & short clothes revealing our skin ??? ❤🔥🔥🔥❤❤💒💒💒❤❤🔥🔥🔥❤❤💒💒💒❤❤🔥🔥🔥❤❤💒💒💒❤❤ I say this with lots of love dear sister , Your dressing is no different than a normal American girl who doesn't believe in ABBA GOD YAHWEH GOD THE FATHER so how you are wearing modest clothes sometimes because of our flesh we habitual to live a certain way & we feel hard to change but when we change it by the Grace and Love of ABBA GOD HOLY SPIRIT we recieve blessing for it , I am a moshianic Jew ( Jew that believes that GOD JESUS CHRIST IS MESSIAH OR who comes to ABBA GOD JESUS CHRIST & recieves Abrahamic blessing & becomes a Jew ) I am a jew not because i was a born a jew but because i believe in the JEWISH MESSIAH ABBA GOD JESUS CHRIST & believe me dear sister that dressing modestly is not boring infact you look beautiful because you are obeying GOD , I dress modestly and get so many compliments because of the Grace and Love Of ABBA GOD YAHWEH GOD THE FATHER , with lots of love and lots of care dear sister from Namrita .❤❤🔥🔥🔥❤❤💒💒💒❤❤🔥🔥🔥❤❤💒💒💒❤❤🔥🔥🔥❤❤💒💒💒❤❤ .
