Im very jealous that you are all virtual. We started off hybrid with us live teaching except for Fridays which was all virtual. Then the state went to phase 2.5 and they made the kids come everyday if they were in person, and we still live streamed taught. And the numbers sky rocketed, they keep going up and up and up, the state moves back a phase, but yet the school were told to stay as they were. Its a covid crocpot and its so nice to see other places taking care of the safety of their teachers and students. Stay safe and I hope your location gets to a safe place so you can see those students of yours soon.

I actually like your blogs, because we are remote teaching also. It is hard, and I like seeing what others are doing.

I have said ALL year that we will all be professional virtual teachers now that we’ve learned so much! I’ve been remote and working from school like you have been. Our district has chosen to allow students to choose fully in-person or fully online. I have actually found myself enjoying virtual teaching (albeit 4th grade is WAY different than 1st)! Lauren, I sit in the same place all day too! Don’t feel bad! I’ve had people poke their head in and just start talking- not even realizing that I’m in the middle of class! I totally understand how you feel! It’s so funny what we start doing totally for ourselves or just to make things feel normal. I have the same rainbow Target calendar as you if you get my drift. Here is what makes your videos different - your personality and perspective! Our lives are pretty repetitive right now in education, BUT finding people who are doing it and doing their best to do it well with genuine, positive attitudes is amazing. We can’t fix everything, but we can work for our students the best we can in this weird parameters!

You can do little bitty clips of what you do at school. Clips of your outfit earrings of the day. Clips of you driving to school talking and also clips at home what you plan for the next day. It could called “the day in the life of a teacher.” That way you can branch out a little more.
