Takes a lot of guts to leave behind something you committed to in order move towards a new adventure. Your staff dinner looked delicious. Best of luck to you, Ryan.
Good on you for making the change. I made a similar choice last year being a military chef at 30, decided to try something completely new and become a Data Analyst. A few weeks ago I got an apprenticeship at a large company, anything is possible but only you can make that happen.
Hey from Germany!!! I know it was hard work but to watch you while cooking like that is indeed a very calming experience. I‘m gay (too) and always love your vlogs together. Wish you all the best for your future!!!! Please stay authentic like you are. Looking forward to learn more about the art of cooking from you. I‘m coffee addicted just as you and absolutely love to cook for my loved ones too. So i‘m sure there are tons of things that you can teach us in the future. Thanks a lot for this nightly Upload! Now i‘m going to sleep… Regards over the ocean!
Wow! So what’s next? I am new to watching your videos! I’ve seen a few. I love cooking and so rewarding to cook and must be so rewarding seeing your menu come alive?
It was a pleasure to watch you work my friend. There was a very satisfying vibe that came with your culinary expertise. I know that your talent and work ethic will bring you success in whatever comes next!
Looks like a pretty chill place to work at, also, I enjoy the fact that you have these texts telling us what you're doing! Good luck in your future endeavours and thank you for your videos :)
I nearly followed the same path as you Ryan. In would’ve found myself in exactly the same dilemma too. It’s not an easy life, but I found another way. You will too.
Ryan my Dooood! On my way to work myself, gonna have to watch this on my break but Truly Stoked you decided to give us one last look at a day in the life, before beginning this new chapter in your life!! Good things and best wishes blah blah blah youre truly amazing and know you’ll kick ass in this world… just had to stop by and say Thank you for doing so 🤘
I've been there 13 years ago, I have never been happier. While I do miss it, the pay will never be the same as other jobs out there. Unless you are a head chef/owner
You look so natural and confident in this environment. And, in a way I can see how it can be a grind from prep to execution. My parents owned a restaurant and I helped them once when I went back home to visit them. I was there at 5a with my dad and I would start prepping (for hours) helping the dishwashers and pitching so the staff could take breaks. At the end of the day (11p) I was beat to sh-t. My father and mother did this 6 days a week. On Sunday, when the restaurant was closed, they would stock up for the restaurant. It was their life together. Not mine. 😬 It’s a hard life. I hope you find something new and as rewarding and satisfying as your last career. Good luck 👍🙏😎
@@RyanDeanDexton do you need to buy a set of chefs knives for culinary school or when you get your first chef job? What set of chef’s knives do you recommend?😊
Ryan Watching you in the kitchen is relaxing and magic. You know what you are doing, and knows how to do it. Superb quality in editing 🎥🎞, makes it smooth to watch and i enjoy it. Grettings from mexico 🇲🇽 ✋

I know I've been spending too much time watching the bear because I expected everyone to be yelling "Corner" and screaming for a sharpie the whole video 😆
I don't know why, but I felt bitter sweet feelings about this vlog... Maybe I also have the same background once too... I start my career from kitchen too...
Did you cook staff meal as a thank you on your last day? Or is it on rotation and it happened to be your day? It looks so good though, i would be so fat if i work kitchen😂
@@RyanDeanDexton what is it like working in the restaurant industry as a a person with special needs or going into culinary school with special needs or starting out your first chefs job as a person with special needs?
