Seeing your Aldi haul made me feel so much better. I've been feeling bad for the way my kids eat lately but you are right we are just trying to afford groceries at this point. Sometimes it's ok to not be totally crunchy!

Just follow your heart and what you think is best for you and your kids. Don't feel the need to label yourself a "crunchy" mom, this just puts more pressure on you and no one can be perfect! I am sure you are the best mom for your kiddos

I have seen people put wooden eggs that look like real eggs in the coop, and it helps promote the laying of eggs.

My mom always scrambled up extra duck eggs for the animals (dogs, cats, chickens). They're also better for crafts than chicken eggs. You can carefully empty them trough a tiny hole at the too and bottom and turn them into Christmas orgaments.

I love watching your DITL videos. We are in a small town in Ohio and not much land at all on our plots. We just got 12 chicks and it’s been fun to raise them. Hi Tabitha. Ours like to hide their eggs too. I just keep our eggs on the counter unwashed until we use them. We go through them so fast, though Where did you get your chicken basket? So cute! And yes, someday my brain is fried after homeschool too.😅 We have lost chickens to raccoons and fox, as well as an owl. When you live in the country, it's never ending. Love the trails Ryan cut!

I’m a new-to-homemaking mama as well as a newer Catholic convert. I’ve been struggling with what “housework” and “work” are permitted on Sundays??? My family never honored the holy day growing up and I want to set a good example for my two kiddos now.

I know of many Catholics who have strict rules for Sundays such as no shopping or work. But for our family the most important thing is that we devote the day to God and that it’s clear we are honoring Him. Making Sunday holy by going to mass is the best start! Then pray and go from there on what God leads you to.

Do you ever wish you could homeschool Bella? My kids go to a Christian private school and I feel like I hardly get to spend time with them. Especially the loads of homework they also get. I’ve been contemplating homeschooling them for that reason. I’m so tired of always feeling rushed to do things with them because of school and homework and just want to so badly practice slow living.

I was able to homeschool her for many years. I really think her being in private school is the best for her! I do miss her though. I totally agree, she’s hardly home and when she is she’s studying, doing homework and getting ready for the next day. It’s so hard!

Everytime I see aldi hauls I get inspired but I can’t get myself to like their food. Their cucumbers, granola bars and cookies tasted so weird to me 😂 I can’t understand why. I am by no means a grocery snob, i just hate wasting money on food that we don’t like.
