Ok, you guys need Wheeler in more than just magic podcasts.

I love showing this video to unsuspecting people because, every single time, they get incredibly invested in the story that Ben tells with a proficiency far higher than is necessary, to the point where they long forget that this is supposed to be a joke. And then, after 35 minutes of an immaculately crafted and told story, after Ben tells the punch line, without fail I get to behold the rage and frustration descend onto people's faces as they realize that I have just wasted half an hour of their life just for a stupid joke that does the comedic equivalent of blue balling to the highest degree. And every single time, it is beautiful.

Three members of my dnd group successfully went on a 15 minute tangent about the quality of this Citizen Cane of horse jokes, i feel like we have the spirit.

I didn't know that the thing that was missing in my life was Ben Wheeler telling this story

Sometimes when I'm sad I come back to Wheeler's Horse Joke and it brings me such joy, thank you DesertBus, thank you Ben.

I accidentally made a playlist of videos with horses in them, and this was the conclusion. Nearly an hour of horse-adjacent content completely by accident.

I missed this live, so I had to watch once VST uploaded and I had a chance to. I was grinning the entire time, as this so reminded me of Arlo Guthrie's Alice's Restaurant Massacree, which I absolutely love, and I listen to every Thanksgiving. :)
